Too big of a gap in matchmaking

The image says all. How can something like this happen? The match was over in like 4 minutes and I only got a look at the killer after, I opened the exit gate. Please take a look into this, as this is not fun for neither side I imagine.

This is the rare occasion where matchmaking just doesn't know what's it doing.

This happens on every rank and as survivor/killer too. I went solo (rank 7) against a rank 20 killer, I had an red rank swf group as Rank 11 killer or I had a rank 2 killer as Rank 9 solo survivor. These rounds aren't fun at all but sometimes you can still destroy the higher ranked survivor team when you are lucky.
