Rematch
You ever wanted to go against same person or team because of 'gg ez baby...' scumbag/s?
For example you faced toxic ######### team with instaheals and key? Next match you can bring mori :D
You faced facecamping ######### with noed? Next match you can bring bt, ds and other perks and items to help you return favor.
Fight fire with fire >:3
Thought?

Well, I’ve also had really fun games that I’d like to replay.
I like the idea for the replay option in general, but it’s doesn’t need to come from salt-based reasoning. Could dramatically speed up times between matches as well!
On second thought, this could easily be abused for farming pips, so maybe no more than 1 rematch allowed.

I kinda figured 2 out of 3.
And did you say farming pips?
If anything dont people rather depip?

I mean, it sounds cool and all. If you find a killer/survivors you thought were fun to go against then you could rematch as well.
Though I doubt people that teabag, go "gg ez baby" would accept a rematch with the fear of killer using a mori/strong addons. I assume with your idea that both killer and survivors would have to agree to have a rematch.

I'd like the rematch option, but not for trying to get revenge against a toxic killer/survivor, more for the reason of good, fun games are few and far between, you know, those games where everyone has fun?
2 -
Yeah, i was thinking about 'conditions' in which killer or survivor would have to accept or give refusing side reason to accept without forcing them to.

As for fun matches, it was either boring match which i dont want to replay, or farming match which would abuse rematch option.
If its genuinely good match when both sides are competent and notscummy then i would rather move on, but i guess that would be fun too.
But if anything i would prefer ''revenge'' matches more that anything.
Or make it mode on its own where you will play 2/3 matches.

I would love a rematch function! yes please :)

You know, the more I think about it, the more I like it. This would really encourage good gameplay and help reduce toxicity.
If both sides have fun and accept the rematch invite, they get to skip the lobby wait which is really a pretty huge reward.
Survivors teabag and play clicky clicky: back to the lobby! Killers camp and tunnel: back to the lobby! Everyone feels like they had a fun, fair match: back to a new, nearly insta-match!
1 -
No, I try to avoid toxic people. If I see a toxic survivor in my lobby as a survivor or killer, I dodge.
0 -
And if they are not toxic? Hm?
0 -
Then it is fine but I don't find it appealing either.

As was pointed out earlier, my concern with this is the potential to farm. There would have to be something in place to make sure people can't farm.
0 -
I feel like this would encourage more toxic behavior because if both teams are arguing and trash talking each other, you'll know they will bring their strongest stuff next game. For what I know, people don't take it lightly when they get destroyed by OP stuff such as insta-heals, mori, and so on.
1 -
The path to hell is paved with good intentions. This would cause alot of griefing and harrassement.
You can do this all ready now that I think about it just do kyf

For exactly this reason, I think after a toxic match there would be at least one player that opts out of the rematch. On the other hand, if people want to have at it with all their best items, why not? They know what they're getting into. But if this becomes a serious issue, maybe just make it so that the rematch is truly a "repeat match" - no loadout screen: same items (even if lost the first time), same characters, same offerings, no new pips....kinda like the first match never even happened (maintain blood point earnings though).
In general though, people will see that their best bet to avoid lobby waiting is to play with decency. It won't fix everything, because toxic people will be toxic, but it will likely reduce the instances of it.
Harassment occurs anyway, this will simply give them the ammunition of "oooh, too chicken to face me again? loooooooser!" I think we can all handle a bit of playground trash talk, especially after what's already being spewed.
In regard to KYF, this allows you to replay randoms, especially if you're like me and you only "friend" people that you actually know (who are typically not real great gamers 😏). This would also allow the ranking mechanic to remain active (which, again, is why this should be limited to 1 or 2 rematches). Finally, this could be a good way of finding "friends" for KYF matches later on.

Why add more salt and toxicity ?
0 -
Being real for a minute, it would more than likely be used by cocky people who dominated in a round as one last taunt, then they'd laugh as the other guy(s) decide not to rematch. Otherwise if both sides decide to rematch, then bringing the most powerful stuff you've got doesn't really prove a point, it just shows that you needed powerful stuff to do well.
The best case scenario is that you had a fun match and everyone would like to keep playing, but that would likely be the vast minority of cases. Even then, part of what makes it fun is the unpredictability. If I go into a match knowing how altruistic the survivors are or how the killer mindgames at loops, that takes a bit part of the fun away for me.

So... Is it possible to make rematch function?
0 -
Rocket League has this option and nobody complains about it (just to give an example), and I really like it lol.
0 -
How often does someone tell another person they hope there house burns with you and your family inside in ticket league?
1 -
This could be a pretty cool feature. +1
3 -
LOL
0 -
I'm more interested in not having to send invites after every match when I'm doing swf
0 -
Quite often actually. Just not as often as DbD because rocket league's devs actually care about chat toxicity.
0 -
The devs shouldn't have to be speech police. We shouldn't be jerks to each other. The toxicity in this game is our fault not the devs
1 -
They are working on that actually.
0 -
That will be great to see
0 -
I'd rather see vote down option that will make them more likely to play against similarly downvoted players.
If they can't behave, they should have fun playing with other toxic players.
0 -
In theory seems great till it is abused and people are wrongly place in the naughty tier
1 -
Would be abused hard, can never work
0 -
It may be... but only if it's announced.
There is a system like that in dark souls as far as I remember. If you get caught cheating or similar you will only get matched with other players cheating.
In here it could be applied to for example people reported harassment in the chat or caught breaking other rules.

The problem I see here is that a group of SWF can just keep lobby jumping until they get into a game with their Killer friend and then constantly "rematch" to farm points. Do I personally care that people will use this to farm BP, no, but I do care that several groups will be jumping in and out of lobbies making wait time possibly longer.
Maybe its my cynical mindset but any suggestion in this game I instantly think "how will people abuse this?" Because lets all face it there are far to many people out there that ruin a good thing.
1 -
Slightly off topic, but will we be given the option during the friends list update to be able to friend request killers who hunted us during the trial? That way if we do truly want to rematch against killers we can do it in kyf's? :)
0 -
A good reason to remove SWF, which isn't going to happen. If this is the standard to go by though, then SWF would have never been introduced.
0 -
I don't agree with that at all. Swf can be toxic but not every swf can be toxic. Just like the player base of this game. Not everyone is toxic. But having a feature in the game to go up against someone who just destroyed you or you just destroyed breeds toxicity.
Again if you want to do this you can send them a friend request and give them a "kyf your bro"
0 -
This is the 'not everyone plays optimally' double-standard for game-balance, but with extra-steps.
I can also take your same point: if SWF is not always toxic but can be, then Rematch might also not always be toxic even if it can be. How do you make the determination that SWF does not breed toxicity but a Rematch option would?
0 -
Personally, I think a rematch option would be nice. Just because something can be toxic is not reason enough to omit features that could benefit the game.
I can teabag as a survivor, suppose they should remove the ability to crouch. I can shake my head as killer, suppose they should remove the ability to turn the camera.
People will always find ways to BM, if your skin's really that thin, then games aren't for you.
