Have BHVR mentioned about how revealing Ghostface doesn't work half the time
and you just stand there looking like a lemon.

The only time I can reliable reveal him is when I'm on the hook. I just assume as soon as I see him I'm down in one no matter what.

Me looking at ghost face in plain view directly in front of me 5ft away: doesn’t reveal him.
Me sees ghost face 30ft away crouched hiding behind a rock: Reveals him instantly.
The reveal mechanic has been super inconsistent for me which is why I don’t like playing as it versing GF

Its not hard to understand he need to be at the center of the screen with more than 20% of his body visible. Survivors tend to raise their camera angle to look at close things. Just lower you angle a bit and you will reveal him no problem.

Oh I guarantee you that when I’m looking at him, he is 100% in the center of my screen and visible.

The reveal mechanic is terrible, for both the survivors and the killers. I've had Ghostface dead center of my screen with both standing still and the reveal didn't happen before exposed, and even the killer said his stalk meter was 0. I've seen streamers unable to stalk or get revealed from survivors that are either 2 blades of grass on Spirits map away, or conversely behind a wall entirely and he is revealed....
BHVR forgot to take into account that not everybody uses a 3rd person camera the same way in regards to their default position. They just assumed the way they test, "is how everyone" does it. I tend to hold mine close to the center, but lots hold them high, or low and it really screws them over.
Then to boot, it's just simply broken as mentioned above. Network latency, FPS, even a gamers resolution can offer huge benefits or drawbacks to this mechanic, hence it should have been scrapped before it ever left the whiteboard.
They already had a solid, established stalking model to use for a killer in the game. I guess they were scared people would say the kilers are too much alike so they added the reveal portion, instead of going another route that didnt require adding something so complex and dependent on so many variables. BHVR always says "yeah we have this on the board for a rework and it's something we'd like to revisit soon", all the while bringing out very complex mechanics that will just get put on that same list, which they already admitted is vast. KISS should be the absolute raining champion of business models for them, yet I don't think they are humble enough to get it.
I'm so glad all of his perks are absolute useless or are already in the game in better forms, and I was never a fan of the scream franchise. Absolutely no reason to buy him and the few games I get against him, depending on the add-ons, I usually just tap out and move onto the next game right away.
