Everything we complain about has counter play.
Gen rush? Stop chasing survivors for more than 30 seconds, don’t chase a survivor you just hit if someone else was on the gen, drop chase if you catch someone on a gen, perks are in the game to boost you where you fail so if gen rush is a problem for you then you should try ruin or PGTW or even both.
Billy? You can typically dodge his chainsaw if he isn’t revving it right behind you, if he is curving you can usually dodge the saw, don’t three gen yourselves and if you’re having troubles keeping up with his movement then try running OoO or Spine chill.
Spirit? If she is phasing then constantly change your direction, this confuses most spirits that I’ve seen, strong windows are her greatest counter, when she isn’t phasing loop her, pallets are still safe to an extent against her.(Iron will and Spine Chill help against Spirit)
DS? If you’re pressuring gens then you shouldn’t be running back to the hook, slug them, if they hop in a locker then eat the DS they’ll regret it at endgame.
Prayer beads? You could always gen tap, she’ll get that first hit on you but then the chase begins, perks like spine chill or premonition will help here.
Noed? Cleanse the dull totems, rainbow map makes this easier or a green map with killer belongings tracker, small game and detectives hunch also help here.
Adrenaline? Pressure the gens and kill them before it activates, bring noed if adrenaline is a big problem for you.
Iri head hatchets? If she isn’t right behind you using them then you can dodge it, plus she is still loopable.
Mori? Play immersed, spine chill, premonition or OoO will help you be immersed.
Insta-heal? Insta-down or Franklin’s Demise are your best bets.
Key? Franklin’s Demise or tunnel the key holder.

But complaining is easier than using those counters :O

Indeed it is! :P

Just because these things have counter play, that doesn't mean they are healthy for the game. I think bullshit things from both sides ( Instant Heals, Keys, Moris, Prayer Beads, Omega Blink ) should be look at and nerfed/reworked, because it doesn't feel fair at all to lose a match because someone had a key or because that Spirit had Prayer Beads and you needed to gen tapp the entire match, just to be grabbed regardless.
5 -
If it is in the game then losing to it is fair game. They aren’t healthy for the game because people refuse to attempt to counter these things and instead make threads about these things are OP with no context on how to nerf/rework these things.
6 -
If you get hit every time by the Killer, Unrelenting is completely useless. Seems like a hard counter to me!
2 -
This 100%, stop complaining about unrelenting.

Again, because a thing can be countered in some circumstances, it doesn't mean it isn't bullshit. I mean, if I tunnel the key holder then I get D-Striked, while other survivors do gens and I can't apply any pressure because I need to tunnel that person.
Also, your solution for gen rush is irrelevant, because I saw ( and I can show you ) someone playing Plague without Ruin, who down a survivor in under 30 seconds ( he literally downed that Nea instantly ), but yet, almost 2 gens got done, even if all of his chases were pretty short, that match still ended in 5 minutes.

spirit and prayerbeads don't have counterplay in base game. perks shouldn't be the only definitive counterplay to something. a chase against a spirit is entirely up to her messing up, as she has all the telltales in the world, that aren't sight, to pinpoint your location (sound, scratch marks, collision), while the survivor has nothing. my favorite is your counter to moris is just hide 4head! you're basically saying they're so blatantly strong your best bet is to not get found in the first place

Whenever I play Trapper/Hag two gens typically get done while I’m setting Traps, choose which gens you want to defend at the start of the match is another good tip.
Like I said, use Franklin’s Demise, the game becomes much easier once you limit the amount of gens survivors have left.
0 -
Yeh, let me pick perks mid game rq.
5 -
Spirit and Prayer beads still have counter play, I gave you examples it is your choice not to use them.
If you don’t want to play immersed then you can still loop if you’re good at it.
2 -
Outside coordination of SWF?
0 -
So your solution is to use perks as band aids fixes ? Too bad we only have 4r slots. What if a survivor find a key in a chest and I didn't equip Franklin's Demise, how am I supposed to counter that ?
1 -
Perks are in the game to boost you in areas where you fail, if you notice these things happening to you commonly then you should use perks to counter it.
0 -
Also, it looks like, "just play Billy" is your solution to issues caused by Survivors, since he is the only one who can perform your answers.
2 -
If you see survivors finding keys commonly then bring Franklin’s, the perk is good on it’s own anyway.
Just play normally? That is what I do.
2 -
I saw survivors getting gen grabbed even when trying to gen tapp. And that waste a lot of time. And you can't loop a Spirit, especially if she grabs you.
0 -
You do have knowledge, if their is an obsession then slug and find a new target.
Billy isn’t the only killer capable of insta-down.
0 -
the counter u listed for prayer beads was to gen tap and give them a free hit anyways. that's a counter for getting grabbed (a pretty bad one nonetheless), what's the counter to prayer beads in the base game?
as I said, it's entirely the spirit's fault if she can't figure out where u are, if it's a good spirit, 95% of the time she isnt gonna mess up unless u have iron will
1 -
If you need perks to counter something, that is not good game design. Especially when he have just 4 perk slots.
3 -
Her power has to recharge so yes, you can loop her. I’ve never seen anyone get gen grabbed while gen tapping.
0 -
You must hate Wraith since he can easily get a free hit on you, prayer beads still has a counter and I honestly find it funny how you’ve only mentioned things survivors need to counter an uncounterable.
You don’t need perks to counter any of this, what is the point of perks if not to boost you where you fail?
1 -
fun fact, u can see wraith! and id be here all day if I had to address how terrible and perk reliant your counters for keys and Insta-heals were too. nice try tho
1 -
i didnt recognize you with the hag profile picture xd, hag main big brain btw
0 -
You only mentioned them once I brought up the fact that you only mentioned things from one side, if Wraith is good at choosing the correct path you won’t see him which makes me think you’ve never faced a good Wraith. Perk are in the game to boost you where you fail, if you don’t like my post then why don’t you address all of it?
0 -
XD Hag mains have the biggest brains. :P
0 -
Yay! I used to be a hag main and now i'm a trapper main. That means i got a big brain no matter what :D
1 -
Trapper mains scare me. They always know where I run to! They always have a trap placed where you can't see them! 😱
1 -
I also main Trapper and Hag. :D
0 -
hey bud, remember when I said things should have counters in base game? yeah that doesn't just apply to one side. if I say the counters u list are bad because perks shouldn't be the only definitive counterplay, u can believe I mean that for everything u list perks for as the only means of counter play. no matter how good the wraith is, he has to wait to hit u because of decloaking. if I'm near a pallet I'm safe if I don't see/hear him coming. if I'm not, I'll be on a gen in the open so that I will. also if u need a perk to help u fail where u can't win in the first place, that's poor game design and should be addressed

I don’t camp hooks though.😭
1 -
I gave counters that are within base game potential.
0 -
Hahaha those hags who place 7 traps around the hook, yeah 😂 Those ones are usually bad. In my career as a hag i never placed more than 2 traps around the hook.
She's a really good killer (S tier if you ask me) and it's true that, as her, you are allowed to make more mistakes than as a Trapper.
2 -
gen tapping isn't a counter to prayer beads! running or walking in a weird way isn't a counter to spirit (sound, collision, coming out of phase when scratch marks stop)! and what is your base game counter to Insta heals again? play certain killers?
5 -
What are the counters for Keys and Instant Heals in base game, besides tunelling the key holder and using instant down killers ( which also don't counter Instant Heals if survivors can avoid their instant down abilities ).
1 -
This /\ ... it's not like you forget how to use ironworks window or the cowshed because the killer brings a mori....
Being unpredictable also helps against spirit, if you bring iron will and play unpredictable you can make spirits feel like giving up and IW isnt required you spin/move around manipulating your sounds and scratches you can do the same effect on her.... like she cant us abuse the shiet out of it

Everything in the game has SOME sort of counter, but it doesn’t mean it’s healthy for the game.
To be completely honest, people don’t like Spirit and Nurse because they’re very strong, not as easy to lose in a chase, near impossible to loop if the killer is good, and both have the strongest add-ons in the game.
Last night I was playing Nurse a little bit because I’m getting a bit better with her and I decided to use omega blink for a game since I have never played it before and wanted to try it before the nerf. I suck at Nurse and I still managed to 4K on The Game map with decent survivors. I flew across the entire map in one blink. It is very strong. Fun as hell the play as but it’s not fun to go against at all.
Prayer Beads don’t need to be in the game period. Neither does Iridescent Head. Whenever I go against a Huntress with a mori, 80% of the time the are running Iridescent Head as well.
Everything has some form of a counter but it’s not very healthy for the game. I do believe people complain WAY too much though.
Things I would remove from the game are...
Ebony moris (Ivory and Cypress are fine)
The syringe (Styptic Agent is fine)
Maybe keys
Five blink and omega blink
Iridescent Head
Prayer Beads
Insta-Saw
That is about it

Hag only becomes easier once you understand her. Understanding what she has to offer is the difficult part. You really have to venture and explore outside the box against the cream of the crop survivors. Freaking love hag.

Is there a counter to counter these counters ?
0 -
@GrootDude Your statement is 100% correct and no one can dispute that.
1 -
That’s not an excuse. Literally every killer I’ve gone up against where I’ve run DS and wasn’t the obsession, I’ve been slugged after hook
0 -
It is a counter, you don’t seem to realize how hard it can be to keep up with sounds if survivors constantly change direction.
Tunneling is the counter to keys, btw if we’re going by base game then these items aren’t even being used.
0 -
Quite possibly but who said counter play would work 100% of the time? That’d make several things weak.
0 -
No, but Keys can be find in chests, even Instant Heals can be with Plunderer's Instinct + Ace In The Hole. Again, if you tunnel, you get D-Striked and gen rushed.
0 -
You will only find purple insta-heals In chest, they aren’t unbalanced imo, you counter them (based on your killer/perks) or just hit them again, never been a problem for me. The odds of finding a key in a chest is super rare and if we’re talking base gameplay then DS isn’t being used.
0 -
@GrootDude What are the counters against SWF voice chat, and a Nurse using omega blink add ones? 🤔
0 -
Nurse is going to get changed, I just play normally against swf.
0 -
Also, at base ace in the hole +pluderers aren’t being used.
