CHAPTER 13: Friday the 13th (2009)

The A Nightmare on Elm Street chapter in this game was based on the 2010 remake.

Does anyone else think that they would use the 2009 remake of Friday the 13th for the next chapter?

Yes, I am aware that the original franchise has been going through a legal battle.

The best answer was given by Snake up there.

But like Chiyo said, what would he even do? In the films Jason has been seen to have minor teleportation abilities in number 8 but other than that he has no real supernatural powers other than being invincible so Behavior would have to make something up from scratch.

If they did get the 2009 version he would basically be Trapper lol The only other thing I can think of would be having an arsenal of weapons that do different things. Machete for normal swings, a bow for long range(he used an axe in the film as well but Huntress has that covered), and maybe the axe for instant pallet breaks? Not much to do with 2009 Jason other than be a skin for Trapper.

As @SnakeSound222 said, I'm pretty sure the lawsuit going on affects all merchandise, no matter what. Also @HatCreature, the only other power I can think of atm is basically a destruction power where Jason for a limited time can simply walk through pallets or smash down vaults like nothing but that's basically it.

I didn't look at the thread because I don't like the idea of Jason being in this game but someone made a thread about Jason called The Mist or something, I don't know where people get that from. Giving Jason some sort of ultra destructive ability would prob be the best or appropriate thing, the phasing through pallets and windows for a short time is cool though.

What I actuality meant too say was when a pallet is thrown down he could activate his power and bust right threw the pallet, sorry for not being clear.

That's just a poor argument. Yes, Trapper is inspired by Jason, but Jason is in no way defined by bear traps. We have also already seen Hillbilly and Leatherface that use similar mechanics but play completely uniquely, regardless of balance.

Yup, I think Jason having a power that can destroy things when activated is probably the best way you could represent his character in game. Really brings home the whole nothing gets in Jason's way of getting his kill mentality except, well, you know, his mom.

I was hoping for F13 for chapter 13, everyone is so hyped for Stranger Things I just don't get it. The show is OK but honestly its nothing special, I mean can you even call it horror? Its more of a sci-fi or fantasy than anything.

Unfortunately Friday 13th/Jason Voorhees are completely bound in legal red tape. This includes the 2009 remake.

BHVR would not tounch the franchise as it stands and it's not open for licensing.

Jason had his own game and it was very good. Better than DBD in my opinion.

It is a shame that he's not included in DBD will all the other horror greats, it's like how Hulk Hogan has been absent from the WWE games for 5 years.

I honestly doubt we will ever see Jason in any form in DBD.
