DBD May Have Some Expensive Skins
But has anyone seen Apex Legends' event?
Skins implemented from the event cost 1800 Apex Coins (18 dollars) for a direct purchase, or you can roll the dice by buying event-exclusive lootboxes for 700 Apex Coins (7 dollars). (There's 24 skins, so the chance to get the thing you want is 1 in 24.)
Also, you can't buy the most rare skin unless you have unlocked all 24 other skins.
I'm not a fan of DBD's prices on cosmetics, but at least BHVR isn't part of EA.

Guild Wars 2 can beat Apex Legends
Certain skins, for example the Dreadnought Raptor skin (https://wiki.guildwars2.com/images/3/3d/Dreadnought_Raptor_Skin.jpg) cost 2000 gems, which is 25 dollars
You can however convert ingame gold to gems to either buy stuff with ingame money only or partially

Well, that's expected from a company that's owned by EA. Just like Activision-Blizzard, they don't bother doing quality content, just how much it can milk the players wallet. Take2 is also like that, but their games are awesome.

Ea is the worst videogame company in the world. As my brother told me recently, they created a 40€ dlc for the sims 4 (which cost 30€), that gives the 100% chance for doing an otherwise almost impossible trophy, required for the platinum. Thats the kind of garbage company we are talking about.

I don't care at all for the cosmetics because I won't give EA any of my cash however after seeing the pure greed now being poured into Apex I won't give them my time as a player either. There are plenty of games out there and I won't waste my time on a game that treats players like cash cows.
Its a shame too because when Apex first launched and EA didn't have their hands all over it I really enjoyed the game, but now that they see the potential $ value it holds I just can't find enjoyment with Apex anymore.
Monster Hunter series (I played almost every hand held version and Monster Hunter World) does it the right way. They release an amazing finished product that already delivers beyond on the price. They offer free updates/events all the time, and now with the upcoming release of Iceborne I want to support them and give them the due cash for it. Sure Capcom has a very shady past but they have proven right by the consumer with this title and I am happy to spend my money on their product.

I loved Apex for awhile, the old events were decent but now, it isn’t even really an event. I’ll just play dbd and paladins, at least in Paladins events are actually pretty good.

They realized their drop in players, so they need to make money in other ways.
And EA knows only 1 way...

Seems like Respawn is being a bit irresponsible on Reddit now.
A developer doesn't want to try and make peace with upset players, while a community manager...well, they're not managing the community.

At least it's not Overwatch which exclusively forces you to gamble for them since it's extremely unlikely you'll get the event skin you want from earned lootboxes during the event period and getting 3000 coins takes a long time.

The Sims 4 complete with all DLCs cost average $1600 here on Brazil, that's more than an minimum salary by the way.

That's one of the main reasons I stopped playing, having to gamble in order to have a legendary is bulllshit, what was worse was when you gained a duplicate non event legendary skin during an event.
