PTB rank and de-rank changes, thoughts?
The changes are:
Season reset & rank pip changes:
- Players at Rank 15 will not be able to de-rank to Rank 16 (unless it's rank reset)
- From Rank 16 - 20, players will not lose pips or de-rank.
The number of pips that players receives back when the rank reset occurs has been adjusted to create distinct Rank pools.
Looks like the first steps to "fix" de-ranking to stay at rank 20 while making rank 16-20 something EVERYONE will soon get out of as it's impossible to rank down or lose pips until rank 15.
Thoughts?

Aye true, rank 20-16 will just be the "tutorial ranks" that everyone who simply plays the game will get out of and be at rank 15 which is where the killers that de-rank on purpose will play.
TBH all it does is remove 1/4 of the ranks in reality.0 -
Brilliant. Absolutely necessary. I have a friend that just started playing the game (he wants to be a killer) and the fact the he is playing rank 1 survivors that have de-ranked to rank 20 is disgusting. This is why it's hard to get new killer mains. They experience the toxic bullying the first game they play.

I'll miss the fun at the low ranks as killer.

I feel this will make the experience for new players better than it is right now. Do you like getting into a game against an more better player knowing all the mechanics and you not?

Yes but it's a far steeper learning curve for a rank 20 killer vs rank 1 survivors than a rank 20 survivor vs rank 1 killer. At least the rank 20 survivor has help. No killers = no game. Survivors are a dime a dozen. I am a survivor main.

I feel like players that are consistently at a high level should be banned from ranking down beyond rank 10, at least, under certain conditions. Rank 15 is not enough, there are still a lot of inexperienced players around. 5 ranks wont make much of a difference to those who intentionally de-rank to 20.

The new system sounds great. The only thing they need to add is a "are you sure you want to leave the noob ranks forever?" button and don´t automatically leave the noob ranks uppon reaching rank 15.

Thoughts?I stopped deranking too far anyway because since pips have been a parcipation reward for survivors, it has become really hard to find lobbys in low ranks.
Basically its a good idea, but the whole ranking system is stilled flawed by concepts like SWF and a monthly rank reset. And then there is literally no incentive to rank up, unless you want to be bullied

Oh please. I'm stuck in these ranks on survivor right now because of teammate mistakes. Constantly failing skill checks, using both escape hook attempts and not struggling, running the killer to your hook while in a chase before you were about to be saved, etc. Having teammates doesn't somehow make any difference of rank discrepancies

Being able to forcibly derank or even derank beyond certain points should not be allowed. If you get above 5,10,15 you shouldn't be able to go below those unless you don't play for a few months.

Thoughts?Basically all this change achieved were insane queue with low ranks and that they removed 5 ranks from the actual pool of ranks
