These changes should make using keys much more interesting

Add-ons are one of the most important part of Keys, and the most important for Broken Key. They have to be at least useful. In this post I want to suggest changes for add-ons and keys that will make them interesting and viable.

PRAYER ROPE

Tightily knitted rope used in praying rituals. Can be attached to the key.

  • Use the Key's power to hide all the Survivors Scatch Marks from the Killer
  • You suffer from the Exhausted Status Effect for 15 seconds each time you leave the Key's power


SCRATCHED PEARL

A porous and scratched white pearl. A minuscule jump ring allows the preal to be attached to the key.

  • Allows you to refill 50/100% of the Key's power by cleansing Dull/Hex Totems


ERODED TOKEN

A heavily worn out token made of brass. If an inscription or drawing was once engraved in it, it has today completely disappeared. Can be attached to the Key using its jump ring to channel the Key's Aura-reading ability.

  • Reveals the Survivor's Auras within 48 metres of range


PRAYER BEADS

A chain of matte beads of various sizes used in praying ritual. Can be attached to the Key.

  • Use the Key's power to hide all the Survivors Auras and Scratch Marks from the Killer
  • You suffer from the Exhausted Status Effect for 60 seconds each time you leave the Key's power


GOLD TOKEN

A gold token with a dull appearance. Both faces are smooth and void of any inscriptions. Can be attached to the Key using its jump ring to channel the Key's Aura-reading ability

  • Passive: You see all other Survivors Auras within 36 metres of range
  • Use the Key's Power to reveal all the Survivors Auras in the Trial to you and all other Survivors


BLOOD AMBER

A blood-red amber striped with black veins. The amber is warm to the touch. Can be attached to the Key using its jump ring to channel the Key's Aura-reading ability.

  • Reveals the Killer's Aura within a 32 metres range
  • Trumps the Killers Undetectable Status Effect
  • Reduces the time of use by 33%
  • Scratched Pearl add-on doesn't work with Blood Amber


BUFF BROKEN KEY

Its rarity should be reduced to Uncommon. Also need to remove Broken Key's chance of appearing in chests. Uncommon rarity should let players use all Key's yellow add-ons.


The bow and shank of a key, vibrating with ominous power. The Broken Key's power cannot be triggered by itself. Various objects can be attached to its jump ring, which channels the Broken Key's power into various effects.

  • 20 seconds of use


NERF DULL KEY

A bent and dull Key that once held great power.

  • Can be used for opening the Hatch


SKELETON KEY

no changes.
