How many players have left DBD?
With the ever growing toxicity through out the community pretty much across the board and with an increasing amount of hackers/cheaters and basically just zero consequences for bad behaviour I am curious as to how many people have actually uninstalled the game? I am sure there are a few and some who check in from time to time just to see if any of these very serious issues have been addressed. Personally I decided to start a new DBD account just to test something out, I played mostly killer and was called horrendous names and told to you know what for simply just being experienced at the game. Because if you outplay a swf team then you must be cheating! Granted I clocked in about 900+ hours on my original account but I just wanted to see what it would be like as a new person coming into the community and it was actually far worse than I thought. The fact that anyone can say anything malicious and disgusting without consequences means that toxicity is essentially being enabled in this game by not having responsible authority figures in place to take action. The fact that it has gone on for years proves the care factor is very little to none, the fact that cheaters can make 9 months worth of content and still not get banned despite actively uploading blatant video evidence for the entire world to see further proves there's just no passion and drive to protect those who have loved and supported this game.
If you stop caring about your game, the gamers will stop caring about it too.

It's not that they don't care, it's all about the moonmen!

I'm sorry to say but he's right. I enjoyed the Salt whilst it lasted, but that was just cause I won. not only does Toxicity get used but they attack your profile account as well by using the "+/- rep". I understand that it's supposed to tell others what the person is like but to when you get called a Tunnler just cause you killed them first? It is unnecessary! They played the game, they won. Who cares?! You have good ones and you have bad ones. you aren't perfect! Don't go attack someone else cause you aren't perfect. It's disgraceful. I actually had to remove several posts from my account cause the comments were toxic!
Cheater's are even worse. They don't play for fun. 'Cause why do you think Cheating is fun? It gets boring, I know. Cheater's are people who know that they are terrible at the game and so feel better that they win through cheating. Some aren't even bad people. They're just sad about losing all the time.
People who even play video games have been diagnosed with depression.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/article/25671185/could-playing-video-games-help-to-beat-depression
Not only are video games a bit of mindless fun, but they're also a sanctuary for those who can't deal with the real world. And people who play to revel in other peoples actual suffering and not in the game need to stop. Play single player seen as though those who revel are not wanted in these games.

We need a new system regarding reports and toxic behavior.
I think the devs took the report site down, because people reported for nonsense like camping, tunneling, playing a certain killer, perk or add-on. Which resulted in to much work for them.2 -
There's more people paying this game than ever.

You can turn your chat off?

Then they could actually deal with the problem of cheaters and hackers whilst stating what is a valid reason.

Lol
Who would care what about something some random person had said to them?
Either grow a thicker skin or use that toggle button to hide the chat if it hurts your feeling so badly.
Seriously , don't see why would anyone quit a game because of that, it's so childish.
You're either a kid or a very sensitive woman if you quit a game because people talk s*** to you.2 -

Clearly you are a little boy, I can't imagine anyone else thinking it's cool to insult women.

You're either a kid or a very sensitive woman if you quit a game because people talk s*** to you. This is an incredibly ignorant of the problem itself. Perhaps it may not bother you, but that does not excuse the fact that the actual rules of the game are being violated and that there are people that do indeed get bothered by the toxicity. You have absolutely no clue what the person behind the screen has gone through, they could be having a bad day, be depressed or have had a rough past that make it worse when exposed to constant toxicity. You may say not to care what some random person has said to them, but bullying in the real world is the same exact issue of the fact that it's "some random person" that's taking time out of their day to make your own miserable and it has infact been proven that the impact could be the same if not worse then people doing the same thing in the real world. Also, like others I have to point out that your comment is sexist and I must ask, why specifically a woman? Edit : (Now perhaps this might not actually be your intention here, I'm just pointing it out)
TL:DR there's no excuse for toxicity and to say it's just a random person is ignorant and ignores the problem entirely as an excuse instead of fixing something that clearly bothers lots of people.

I have been told multiple times to go and kill myself and actively encouraged to do so. Imagine if i was really susceptible to this abuse and acted on this. Is this ok? No. Are the devs of this game doing anything to combat this? No. They even took the reporting feature out due to people reporting camping, face-camping when it is not even in the game anymore, for killing them. You know the game.
They have no issues releasing DLC after DLC but cant address actual potentially harmful abusive people.

I'm not arguing against this and in my post actually sides with the fact that toxicity like this is absolutely not acceptable. Though weren't they planning on bringing up the reports again in the future or am I mixing this up with something else? But yes, I do agree more should be done to combat the excessively toxic players.

@Envees Um if people on xbox or ps4 are saying this to you then you need to report it to them..Not the devs..Ps4 or xbox will look at it and if its bad enough they will get a ban from ps4..I almost had one but not for saying anything this horrible..I called someone a dick or a ######### or something and they told me I only had one warning left..

I'm pretty sure the announcement of exhaustion perk nerfs and the double bps weekend being over may have something to do with the player count being halved, its the mid week as well. The rise in cheating could be another part of it(I've only seen lag switching though).
