How to get ruin
Hello folks,
just a quick question, I want to get ruin on my sister's account, so what's the best way?
Shall I earn 2000 iridescent (currently at 400) or shall I unlock it on hag with blood points?

Unless you think you might wanna actually PLAY Hag down the road, or have any interest in Hag's other 2 perks... Just get in from the shrine.

Well Hag has a fun play style imo but if you don't enjoy her just buy with Iri shards

Yes I was thinking the same, my only point was that it seems that getting it via shrine would require much more work, no?

If you own Hag, just level her up so that you get Ruin as a teachable.
If you don't own Hag, then buy the perk from the shrine with shards.

@DBDbuildsYT It depends. Getting Ruin from the shrine depends on luck that it actually is there. Considering how many perks there are this can take looooong. You will get 2000 shards pretty fast too. But I would rather get 1mil BP (play killer with BBQ and BP offering; takes ~20-30 games) and level Hag for it. You only need to get to LVL 35 for it which you can do with 1mil BP.

Its more a matter of which is worth more to you, the BPs required to lvl Hag to lvl 35 (around 1mil) or the 2k Iri shards. Both are gonna take time to get. You could end up getting the shards while grinding out the BPs, and decide to use the shards on the perk and the 1mil BPs on a character you actually WANT to play. OR... You can spend the BPs on Hag and use the shards to get a nice outfit or something. Either way, your looking at some grinding.

Yes that's true, but my point is my sister doesn't play killer at all, and money are not an issue for me so we buy dlc with money.
But yes, I think BP is probably faster

Im currently sitting on like 24k iri shards. I tend to just get em by playing rather than actually TRYING to farm for em, so throwing some at shrine perks every now and then isnt really something i sweat about.

Level hag, use hag. If you get the shards first use them. Or if you find it in BW first save shards.

I'd say shards, if you dont like to play hag itll be easier, if you do like Hag tho, bps

I feel like eventually, im gonna hear my ruin breaking while still on the lobby screen. Ill be picking my character and perk loadout, look over and Nea is already cleansing it.

Ruin's in the shrine right now, so if you want to grab it from the shrine, now's your chance. Otherwise it depends on how much you care about the other perks. Would you (she?) ever use Devour Hope or Third Seal- or the Hag herself? Is so, I'd say go nuts and grab the Hag. If not, shrine's probably your best bet.

I would get it from the shrine. The other 2 perks are most if the time destroyed before the full potential is to be seen. And also, not everyone likes the playstyle of hag. So not only are you wasting a lot of BP into a killer you might not enjoy playing, but you will also get dailys for that killer. I personally regret buying hag with shards, I get so many dailys for her it's insane. I wish I could lock her

They really need to update the description. Hex: Ruin, Causes 1 dull totem to appear lit and give extra BPs to whichever survivor cleanses it.

Ruin buff idea
Ruin: A hex that roots on the power on lightning sounds. This hex has 1 activation and it activates 1 second into the trial. As soon as it activates a lightning sound will happen and the hex goes away, every survivor gains 500/750/1000 bonus bp in boldness
