Something is broken when you stop fixing a gen.
I hate that when you are fixing a gen, and you stop to do something else like unhook a teammate, it just so happens that as soon as you stop, a skillcheck triggers, and you are not even touching the gen anymore and it explotes.
It happens way too often to be just a coincidence, and honestly is BS.

I like to think that the act of abruptly pulling your hands out of a machine you're working on causes it to malfunction. Similar to what happens when you're stitching a wound and try to immediately run, you often accidentally stab yourself

It is a coincidence, still sucks.

It happens whenever you let go right when you get a skill check, it's just an unlucky coincidence whenever that happens. The game is certainly not programmed to do that so it screws you over.
The thing is, if the devs made it so letting go when you get skill check doesn't make the generator explode, then that would result in survivors with fast reactions just letting go whenever they hear a skill check is coming in.
