Views on "bumping"
Just curious to hear peoples perspective on bumping threads to keep them at the top. Do you view it as okay, scummy or are indifferent to it? I'm personally very indifferent towards it.

There is a common misconception. One thing is bumping which is understandable, another thing is necroing, which is bad.
I dont mind bumping as long as the thread contains information or a use that is still relevant. That is bumping. Like suggesting something, not getting many replies, waiting for a day, and then bringing it back up.
Necroing is annoying. Such as going to an old Q&A thread from the previous year. Its misleading, making other people think "Oh, a post from Devs that I missed! Yay!", and then sadness hits. Or making others think "These replies are wrong, lets let them know", but in actuality they were just outdated.

Personally, I think it's fine as long as it's not excessive. Like maybe once every 12 hours or so is okay, because sometimes you're Australian and you posted at the wrong time and want your post to get some attention from the majority of forum members who live in the US (nothing whatsoever to do with personal experience lol)
But if you're bumping constantly every ten minutes that's just annoying.

Speaking of necroing XD
I just got the urge to come back to this post after being on the forums for awhile now and being honest, I still mostly agree with you. The only times I completely disagree with what you said is if it's a more of a "just for fun" type of post, I think it's fun bringing those topics back for some new perspectives. However, like you said, bringing back any old news discussions or chapter announcements are quite annoying because it just leads to disappointment.
