New perk idea to stop face camping killers

I have recently played a game very similar to dead by daylight, where if the killer was around 32 meters near the hook. The survivor's progress bar while being hook won't go down at all.

So I have been thinking why hasn't the game developers create a perk that makes it so suriviours won't lose progress bar when a killer is 32 meters near you (maybe a shorter distance). This will not only stop face camping, but also allow the killer to focus on his objective to prevent survivors escaping, instead of killers giving bad experience to new suriviours. It will also encourage killers to use make your choice and focus on the other suriviour than the one that been unhook because perks such as borrowed time would become even more useful.

This is similar to the new perk coming out that is 'Camaraderie'. So you must be wondering why I'm trying to suggest a peak that the devs already came up with. Im suggesting a new perk or for the perk coming out to get a buff because it really doesn't come any where close to benefiting the suriviour being hook or the surivours team as a whole. This is because it tells the killer a suriviour is near and also doesn't give the killer any reason not to camp the suriviour.

If anything it would help the killer get more survivors knock down because it will always let the killer know that a or more survivors are near by. Especially when perks such as whisper will be become even more handful in that situation. Not only that, but the timer for it is very short and only become useful only once in a game. So why can't the killer just hook you for your first time than wait for you to reach struggle stage. Wait for someone to unhook you then knock you down again.

Face camping would also become more of a meta because with all these perks coming out to slow the game down. You can possibly kill two or more survivors by just face camping.

Moreover, people might be saying that the perk idea I'm thinking of is too op. However, I want to make it clear that if you get unhook then later on get knock down again. You will go into struggle stage, so it isnt like the killer hooks you for your first time, then he hooks you again for you to still be able to attempt to escape.

I also want the perk to always be active as in if the killer hooks you for your second time, the perk will stay active while you stay struggling for as long as the suriviour wants if the killer still waits to stand there and face camp. This will send a straight message to all killers that face camping isn't a strategy or fun.

This perk would also make survivors have a better experience while playing and make the game more enjoyable.

Furthermore, if anyone seems to misunderstanding or see problems with a perk like that being made. I won't mind any feed back or respond to why the developers have not made that type of perk. All I ask is that we can all be mature and respectful when talking about this new perk I thought of.

I also think there should be a perk where if you unhook someone and the killer is very close, the killer gets stun.

It existed and even tested on PTB. Reverted pretty quick. Sorry about that.

Well, that perk idea is very similar to what the devs tried just base, and that was abused hard by survivors. As it would be, the killer cannot in any way protect his hooked target, and just have to give up and give a free unhook.

Furthermore, if the killer was to attempt to protect his hooked target, survivors can just run him around the area around the hook endlessly.

Final also, 32m is extremely long range for a perk like that, putting a survivor on a central hook basically means they simply can get away from the hook.

I however really like your idea of a perk that stuns the killer if they're in range after an unhook

How about 12m radius ? 32m is extremly large.

I was just using make your choice distance as an example to how the distance would be like.

Why was it? I think this would have been better for killers because it stops them from getting distracted and focusing on the hook suriviour. It would also like I mention before, give new suriviours a better experience to the game.

I understand some of the points you made. However, I disagreed with one of them.

Killers shouldn't want to focus on protecting one hook suriviour if their objective is to kill all four of them. This just makes it a lot more harder for killers because the time they are wasted protecting the hook suriviours. The more gens that are being done. You will hardly if not ever see a killer camping winning a game. It's very good gen rushing is being stopped, the problem is that the more slower the game is becoming. The more killers would find camping a strategy to winning.

As for killers getting distracted by other suriviours isn't the case at all sometimes. Some would focus on one person then head for the next person, once that person is dead. So it really isn't that simple because I'm talking about a more intelligent killer that would see through that.

As for the distance. I was a bit over my head making it that long. I just wnated it to be an example like make your choice distance.

Finally, I want to thank you for agreeing that killers getting stun while close to someone being unhook is a good idea for a new perk
