New Killer Idea - The Drowned
"A servant of an old god that yet slumbers. It finds itself in the employ of the entity until that dead god's return. "
Having a decidedly cephalopodic appearance, with a vaguely humanoid shape beneath, long flowing robes trail behind it. The creature seems to move as if surrounded by water. It swims through reality.
I imagine the animation would be similar to the nurse but have robes, tentacles trailing behind. Perhaps a serpentine swaying from left to right as it moves forward.
Killer Abilities
Suffocating - The Drowned's presence thins the air itself. Drawing breath becomes laboured. Survivors within its terror radius breathe 50% louder. Injured survivors grunts become 50% louder. (stacks)
Murky water - Survivors ability to see outlines is impeded by 50% when within the terror radius of The Drowned.
Thickened Air. - Survivors speed is reduced by 10% within 8 meters of The Drowned.
I'm drowning! - Survivors within 16 meters of The Drowned begin to cough as they struggle for air. Survivors within 8 meters of the drowned have a progress bar that fills for as long as they remain within that range of The Drowned. The bar will not drain until you go beyond the terror radius. Once the bar is full the survivor becomes injured. Once injured, if the survivor enters within the 8 meter radius the bar will fill again. The survivor will be placed in the dying state once this fills. These radius effects would be based upon its maximum movement speed.
Tidal momentum - The Killer's terror radius (and thus ability) is scaled with its movement speed. Movement speed will be based upon distance travelled over time. If The Drowned is no longer moving its radius reduces to zero. The Drowned will have a base speed slower than survivors that it needs to build up. The reason for this would be to discourage camping and encourage The Drowned to move through the map. Speed reduction will be gradual so getting hit by a pallet will decrease it based on stun time versus time travelled.
Killer perks
Inescapable Void - When hooked survivors do not scream or show their outline to other survivors. Hooked survivors are blinded for 8/10/12 seconds. Survivors can still attempt to escape the hook and struggle.
Soundless Abyss - Survivors are deafeaned while within 8/12/16 meters of the killer.
It won't budge! - When entering a locker within the Killer's terror radius the Survivor becomes trapped and cannot exit for 30/35/40 seconds. Combines with other Locker perks (survivor and killer) and makes them last or activate 2 times longer than normal. So Iron maiden would become 30 seconds of exhaustion and 6 seconds of reveal. Locker opening speed would not change. Head on would counter this perk but take 6 seconds to charge, exhaustion times would double. Inner strength times would double etc.
Hex - Echo-Triangulation - Every 30 seconds the aura of Survivors within 12/16/20 meters of a Totem is revealed to the killer for 3 seconds.
Mori - Tentacles and an arm grasp the survivor's throat and body as it begins to squeeze. The body begins to contort and audible bone cracking noises play. The lifeless corpse is discarded and water pours from their throat.

*It won't budge - Survivors can struggle to reduce the time trapped by up to 30%. (Works like wriggle). Survivors suffer the exhaustion status effect based on struggle percentage.

I think a filter would probably work well over this killers terror radius. Something like a shade of colour darkening as you get further into the killer radius. A sea green filter perhaps signifying this water reality ability and the fact that you are in a the area of effect of the killer radius abilities. This would also reduce visibility in the TR, furthering that underwater theme.

Reducing survivor speed is EXTREMLY op. So unless your killer is a Nurse type of killer I'd suggest finding something else.
