(Under Redesign) Alien Chapter Concept- The Perfect Organism

A simple concept- I’m not very creative with survivors, so I’d love to hear some thoughts on how to approach them.

Killer: The Alien

Terror: Radius: 5 meters

Speed: 112%

Height: Tall

Three skins-

*Kane’s Son* ALIEN

*The Soldier* ALIENS

*The Dragon* ALIEN³

Three maps, if possible- unlikely

USCSS Nostromo

LV-426 Hadley’s Hope Colony Complex

Fiorina “Fury 16” Leadworks

My idea of the Alien is that it is both an ambush and chase Killer- able to drop off the Survivor’s radar while maintaining a pursuit. It’s something that the unaware explorer can bumble into, punishing those that fail to look before they leap. However, a wary Prey should be able to counter this monster by listening and spotting it first. As an incentive to the ambush part of its nature- It has no Red Stain and would essentially have a built in Insidious- though this one would be instantaneous if the Alien stops in its tracks.

The Alien would be one of, if not, the tallest of Killers- but to sort this without altering the maps, the beast would be hunched over. Its standard attack would be with its clawed hands- the length of its arms would allow it to lunge farther than most Killers.

The Alien is surprisingly quiet for its size- but there are unique tells to tip you off of its presence; deep hollow breathing, low chittering hisses, the biomechanical thud of its footsteps.

Once the Chase has begun- you hear this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=E23Pg6XuPgo

Predation: The Alien opts to chase its victims on all fours! In this stance the Alien is faster and can clear windows much quicker- the trade off is the Alien is louder and far slower and unwieldy to attack and once engaging in the chase it will lose this stance after getting a succesful hit on a survivor and cannot return to this stance till after breaking the chase and a brief cool-down. If stunned in this stance, the Alien will suffer a longer recovery time than other Killers- due to thrashing in anger.

Hitting survivors while in Predation afflicts the Blindness debug for 60 seconds.

The Alien’s Terror Radius is increased to 35 meters while in Predation.

Coil- the Alien winds up its serrated tail before delivering a none-lethal jab with its barbed tip- survivors struck by this attack are afflicted with a hemorrhaging debuff- which will hamper their ability to perform actions (healing, repairing, vaulting) while also leaving a more pronounced blood trail for the Alien to track more effectively.

Survivors are afflicted with Hemorrhaging; Repair effectiveness is reduced by 4%- Healing effectiveness is reduced by 8%- Survivors bleed a highly pronounced blood trail that the Alien can see.

Passives-

Prey: The Alien, upon beginning the chase in its upright stance will let out a deafening screech that will afflict the survivor with a debuff that puts them into a panicked state- They begin to breath heavily- whimper uncontrollably..and if not kept in check, may collapse over in a terrified state- they will not collapse while the chase is ongoing nor instantly after breaking the chase- other survivors can hasten the recovery of Prey’s effects much quicker than the afflicted doing so themselves.

Acidic Reflex- whenever the Alien is stunned or attacks a generator, it will bleed or vomit its highly corrosive blood onto the object- with pallets- they are destroyed after a time. Survivors that try to vault these melting pallets will suffer a hit. With generators, it is far more damaging- Survivors cannot repair them effectively- Failing a check that will regress the generator back further than a regular fail which stacks with the number of survivors on the generator. This will briefly reveal those on the generator for 3 to 6 seconds with the Exposed debuff.

The Alien’s Mori would have to be it headbitting the survivor- the prey would attempt to flee- only to be plucked by their head. The beast would stand fully upright, holding its victim out in front of it..and run them through with its tail, pulling them closer and closer to it...concluding the Mori with a gory bite to the forehead with its fanged tongue.

Whatcha guys and gals think? Lame? Good? Let us know in the comments ^.^ Xx

It has a lot of abilities, but I guess they do have to be there to make up for it's lack of map presence. They are all very good, though.

I do think that while standing up, it has a regular 32 meter terror radius and the regular 115% movement speed, but then while prowling it has a 8 meter terror radius and 105% movement speed, along with the other effects you talked about.

How long does it take to curl over in fear from the roar? And how long does it take to recover?

Great idea, I would love to see the perks for it :D

I honestly love how with the inclusion of the Demogorgon, its really opened the door for more monsters to be added to the game with the Xeno being at the top of the list. With that said, I really like your concept, good job. I'd like to see your ideas for perks and possibly add-ons in the future.

Hm- I appreciate your feedback on this stupid brain fart of mine ^.^

I’m a dunce on how much time it would take for a afflicted to topple over in fear. Certainly wouldn’t be slow- but not instantaneous either.

The reason I wanted it so silent with its terror radius was to invoke what it truly felt like bumbling into the Alien aboard Sevastopol Station in Isolation.

As for its Terror Radius booming while on all fours was to mimic its frenzied state within the Leadworks of Fury161 in ALIEN³.

I see it as a slow methodical Killer in its attacks: something akin to EW1 Michael while upright, but not afflicted with a nonexistent lunge and sporting the longest of standard M1 swipes...while being able switch up into something that is more along the lines of Legion’s Frenzy, mixed with a less controllable, onetime lunge of Demo’s Shred.

Sounds silly, I know ^.^ xx

Why thank you, I’m glad you like it- I know it’ll never be like this if it does indeed come to the game, but a psycho can dream, right? ?

Oooh, great- now the rusty gears are starting to spin inside at making addons and perks! Xx

Cool concept. Do you think any skins of other Xenomorph species could work? Such as the Deacon, Protomorph, or even a Neomorph cosmetic? I know it might change the mori.

Don’t see why not- only one that wouldn’t work is the Deacon due to its lack of a big tail- I would love if skins change Moris- I’d have it as this:

ALIEN- slides tail between the victims legs up and into their back, wraps its arms around them in a perversion of a loving embrace, concluding with a headbite.

ALIENS- charged at the victim, knocks them onto their back- they whirl onto their front to get away, the beast grabs them by the head with one claw and proceeds to run their neck through with their tail, snapping it with a horrid crunch.

ALIEN³- Victim runs for their life, the beast gallops and leaps onto them, pinning them to the ground...immediately begins mauling them, chewing into their body- then tear their throat out.

I was thinking it could take 15 seconds to remove from yourself, 5 from others, and 30 seconds to curl over (timer pauses while in a chase.)

Still, a semi fast killer with a tiny terror radius is good in first strikes, but bad in map pressure and second hits. Let's not make a fourth Wraith (second is Pig, third is Legion.)

Making it a base killer would make more sense in my mind, and then it coulddd be faster while on all fours, but it should have no downsides besides making it harder to see, and slower break speeds. I don't believe in making a Killer a certain way, ignoring balance just to make it like where it came from.

    Thank you for reading this.
