Is ANYTHING going to be done about matchmaking?

Every game I've played in the past few days it's been the same. I as a rank 12 killer, have not seen anyone in my matches lower ranking than 8. It's frustrating, especially because after the game they like to talk about how easy it was and engage in toxic behavior, and it seems like the developers have been completely silent on this issue.
The stranger things DLC is nice and all, but I can already see a lot of people who are going to pick up the game for it being scared away by being forced into matches against high ranking, toxic survivors/killers as beginners. And even when playing survivor, I often end up against rank 20 killers in a SWF group with no one lower than 12. It's not fun for anyone. Is anything going to be done about it?
