Why haven't we seen any major changes to old killers since a long time ago?
With the exception of that legion hot fix there haven't been many changes to any killer in 5 or 6 months. Correct me if i'm wrong.
I see a lot of people asking for simple buffs to X killer, survivors included, but nothing being done.
Only freddy and ghostface got tweaked because they were released. Excluding that, there were only perk changes. The upcoming patch brings no changes at all to killers again.

That was on par with freddy's rework. They just made that change because of him.

Yeah, you're right, forgot about those. But major changes to bring kilers from low tier to mid-top tier haven't been in a while.

That is literally one checkbox in Unreal Engine to enable which takes a good developer less than 10 seconds. Any other arguments?

okay. no matter how simplistic a change it was, it was still really needed and helps a lot

With the direction the design of the most recent killers has been going, i think most killer "modernisations" would result in blatantly nerfed killers.
Which for obvious reasons wouldnt fit well with the killer community.

Freddy isnt exactly one of the "oldest" killers and was considered by most the bottom of the barrel. (Although some miss his old kit)
And even his new kit isnt as optimal as it could be. He has to stop to plant his snares, although visually it looks like he could keep running. It looks useable like "shock treatment" but is still a "set trap"
Im more talking about Trapper, Hb, wraith, nurse and huntress.
Look at all those hoops legion or sprit have to put up with, do you really want a nurse who cant blink 10seconds after a hit and cant see survivors while blinking?
HB with gas meter, having to refill like plague? And DW instead of double damage?

He doesn't stop to use them, he doesn't even slow down. What's the problem with it being a set trap?
I'm talking about reworking killers, and they showed they can do a great job. Freddy went from bottom tier to probably top5, even without add-ons he's strong. But sure, move that goalpost.
What's wrong with spirit? The undisputed 2nd best killer?

Not every killer needs a rework. Freddy and Legion were changed because they had major game play issue. Wraith was changed because he needed some love.

Most of the old killers are very solid. Killers such as Trapper, and Wraith only need a few add-ons to be made base kit and they would be completely solid
Ah the beauty of having 3 Traps being base kit or Windstorm Green basekit as well

I could make a very strong case for Freddy. He went from being one of the weakest killers to one of the strongest recently, with a completely different power and all. He was first released back in 2017.
Not all killers are going to get a rework, that much we can say for sure. A rework would mean giving them a completely new power. If you look at a killer like the Trapper, for example, we wouldn't completely scrap his power and give him a new one. There's a lot of people out there who like the Trapper as is, possibly only wanting small QOL changes. To change him completely would be unnecessary, take a ton of time, and disappoint everyone who's come to like him as is.
With that said though, we are currently reviewing the Nurse's add-ons. We've always revisited older killers and will continue to do so. Unfortunately there's only so much we can do at once. There's a lot on our wishlist, it's just a matter of what we do first.

is Pig's add ons somewhere on that wishlist by chance? its a little odd that a common add on (combat straps) is considered one of her most useful add ons, and her ultra rares are either useless or very niche.

Isn't one of her ultra something people want in her basekit? The amanda rules 2...or something like that...gotta check her addons real quick
Edit: rules set number 2. It really should be base kit...

yeah, Rules set no. 2. makes it so survivors cant see the jigsaw box auras until the trap is activated. i too think it should be basekit, because traps arent a threat until theyre activated. in my opinion, make that basekit, and change the add on to be "traps activate as soon as a survivor is able to move" with maybe an increase to time it takes to go off.

They've been busy.... this upcoming DLC and update required a lot of attention and dedicated servers coming closer, bhvr shouldn't spread the resources to LF.... I want the weaker killers updated too.

The major changes i meant were mostly number changes, i was not asking reworks. For example, Leatherface hasn't been buffed, or changed in general, for almost a year.
Some number tweaks or a new mechanic that helps him idk, something.
Even tho the killer that needs changes the most is legion imo.

Yeah...As a Trapper main If anything I think maybe starting with 2 bear traps would greatly improve my game. I'm still only new really so a lot of the nuances of the game eludes me but other than that I wouldn't want muh boi touched.
I know it'll change if/when I rank up but Hell even half the time at rank 10 it seems unfair to the survivors that I have any traps on me at the start.
