Ace in The Hole
is badass awesome honestly.
Normally people running Plunderers because it gives you a higher chance to gain sth of a higher rarity.
But I dont like this perk because often I dont feel any difference between the loots with and without Plunderers. The only thing you can mention is you get way more keys and rainbow maps but personally I dont care for rainbow maps and key. Also items like the yellow and green medkit are dogshut. They heals you once like the brown. and the most toolboxes are at the same influence level.
So I started running Ace's perk and holy I love it. I mean I get insta heals, fast healing medkits which let me heal more than once or twice sometimes (2 needles or a needle + adherent wrap, abdominal dressings + stacks). I also had some juicy purple flashlights with good addons. And toolboxes become way stronger. One single addon can double the effectiveness of an item so much. I mean let me loot a brown medkit with a gel dressing and woula: 2 heals (mostly i really dont need more than 2 heals)
t's obviously not a meta perk because there are only 3 chests but having 3 good/strong items in the game? Love it. L o v e i t.
I stopped running Selfcare because it takes AGES to heal up. it feels like the infinite stairs in Super Mario 64. And everytime I find a medkit with more ehaling speed or stacks Im a happy man.
Now I know why it's very rare and not rare like Plunderers.
Thanks devs, I found some fun in this game. the quality of my games got improved.

Disagree about Plunderer's, the number of keys I find in chests is significantly higher with PI.
Ace in the Hole is really sweet though. I like to run it with Pharmacy too. It improves an already sweet medkit you find.

Green and Yellow medkits last longer than a single heal.
Especially the Green medkit due to it's lower consumption.

The thing is Im not a fan of using more than 1 perkslot for one mechanic if you want so. Like Selfcare and Botany for examble.
I mean it sounds neat, increasing the chance of getting a very good medkit but I wont use 2 perkslot therefore <3
@artist naw the thing is you even got a shi...brown medkit* with Plunderers and that's what I mean. I dont like this perk ^^
And yea sometimes I get brown toolboxes with a spring clamp and honestly, seriously that's unlucker dog. :D

Oh god, I got this yesterday and was pissed that I couldn't even heal myself once! That's the only bad thing about ace in the hole

with addons maybe. I had a abdomninal dressing and a gauze roll on a green medkit. that was sick. but only a green medkit sucks (without addons).

Maybe the fact that im playing ace increases the chances for good stuff tremendously. maybe. honestly im pretty sure. it must be theres no way I mean it's ace. if you play meg i wouldnt wonder just getting brown toolboxes with spring clamps xD

With or without, it's better. You said the brown, yellow and green medkits suck. So do you think only the purple one is good? The green one heals faster and consumes less charges.

This is what happens when you get used to the game and stop using meta perks. Makes the game much more fun. Recommend continuing to try different builds and perks you may be underestimating. Well done in improving your game experience
