How To Play Ghostface?
Bloody heck just how do you even use this character? I swear to gravy for every fun match I have with him I have 5 more awful ones.
His crouch is practically useless since 75% of loops especially those in autohaven are not large enough to hide you
And I'm sick and tired of hearing the detection, getting to cover, and bam I get revealed. It feels like I'm playing at super high pings everytime that happens. It even has that super delayed feeling, the whole sight mechanic is just incredibly obnoxious even if cool on paper

One tip I can give you is to not only use Night Shroud for exposing. Use it to hid your stain at loops with line of sight breakers.

Hope that he gets QoL buffs in 2 years and hope that the survivors aren't calling out your position on comms. In the meantime, cooldown reduction add-ons are your best friend. As another poster said, don't fall into the inefficiency trap of trying to reveal people all the time with Night Shroud. You'll never have time for that unless you're playing against bad survivors. Gens go too fast to take the time to maybe fully expose people. Also, be mindful of your approach. Map awareness helps a ton. Approach generators from the edge of the map. 99% survivors and then expose them when you're close (same principal as Myers).

Oh for pete's sake the last 3 games have been 3 man swf with voice com, a stacked 4 man with insta heal medkit that repaired 2 generators in the first 40 seconds

Can you record one of those? It's easier to give pointers with examples

Reading that put a chill down my spine.

That's not the spine tingler
The real spine tingler was the first of the 3 mans had a bloody Object too lol
My Ghostface games are cursed

Just get good at your M1 mechanics. I haven't played him too much because I got him, and realized that any survivor with eyes can ruin your power.

All I play is M1 Killers
I can do great as any other killer but Ghostface is impossible for me

There are a couple mindgames you can do with Night Shroud mid-chase to get free hits on survivors because it hides your stain and TR, but you really need to be conscious with it. Hitting a survivor will reset their stalk meter, which can actually waste your time.
Think about it this way - if you chase a survivor to 75% stalk, and then are broken out, is it really worth chasing them? You've already essentially "injured" them, in that you've taken 75% of their health already. If you hit them, you'll basically undo your power - I often find it's better to chase someone else until my Night Shroud comes back up, then re-stalk the person who already has progress built up. You can even do the Myers-Esque 99% stalk, build up stalk on everyone, and simply pop night shroud whenever you get into a chase. Being conscious (and even hindered) by your power is a decision you need to make on GF, I've found.

I think there is a build for exposing survivors faster than they can break you out of a nightshroud...

Dont run haunted grounds on ghostface, he isn’t mobile enough to make consistent use of it. The primary thing about him is you MUST slow down the game. Ruin, thrilling tremors, dark devotion, lullaby and pgtw are your friends. I run ruin, bbq, tt, and pgtw typically, if I see its a swf I’ll swap pgtw or even bbq for noed depending on how I feel.
Just a few quick tips-
stalk people to 99, expose them just before you hit them. Nearly every game I play you get at least one free hook because someone is trying to take a hit to protect whoever you’re chasing, usually after they get off a hook.
crouching is useful af to yoink people off of gens, and you can mindgame with it, but you also have less than 2 seconds to get out of LoS or you can get exposed behind cover, so hide fast if you hear the cue.
dont waste time chasing people through long loops just put them to 99 and one shot them later
bring a lerys institute offering and you’ll have have great time

Thank yall for the advice
I mean honestly it's just bloody painful you get builled insanely hard by SWFS which considering I'm at red is very, very, common. At least today
I'm using Weasel, Enduring, BBQ, Nurse's calling. I mean I just bloody hate the whole reveal mechanic, I mean his recharge is as long as two freaking spirit power recharges
Which is absolutely stupid. Honestly today I've just run into so many multi thousand hour survivors often in squads that I honestly can't tell if I suck, the killer sucks, or I don't freaking know
I'm just tired

Just a random thing, you can use night shroud in an open area to find survivors you know are there. If they reveal you, ya got their exact location

You should really give tremors a try in place of nurse’s. I promise it will be a world of difference. Not saying nurses is bad with him but he really doesn’t need it and the slower the game goes the better off you are, plus it helps you find survivors

how to play him? just pray to god that you get a decent map for him.

I played a lot of Pig before playing Ghostface so my strategy isn't too much different except getting close is a bad thing, maybe. In theory playing Michael can teach you to hide yourself while stalking and playing Pig can teach you to hide while getting close to them but I don't play Michael because he feels like a chore.
Otzdarva posted this clip from one of his matches today and covers strats with his ability, it shows getting to 99% when to take the hit if they aren't worth stalking, hiding etc. Playing Ghostface can be difficult because they came up with an awful idea to counter him and maybe don't want to change it even though the community has come up with some good ideas. Just try and hope you get a good map, stay hidden, lean, and don't be afraid to use weird tactics. I like to use Corrupt Intervention with Thrilling Tremors to get an early down and block all the Gens and if they aren't all blocked then you know where you're going next; unless you get a team that will wait the entire 2 minutes until Corrupt turns off...

The SWF thing is just plain bad luck. If you want to reduce Night Shroud's cooldown bring the Chewed Pen Addon. If the gen is plainly out in the open but next to some objects you could get some cheeky gen grabs with Night Shroud.

Yeah I'm done, I'm bloody done. I've tortured myself over the past day and a half to learn how to play Ghostface. I've played tactically, I've played stealthily and every freaking time it's like hitting my head against a brick wall. Even when I "Win" I didn't even really have that much fun
Ghostface has all the difficulty of learning Nurse, all the draw-backs of playing a counterable killer such as clown, and practically no fun or satisfaction for me
You get bullied, you can't counter the bullying
All because Survivors can look at you for a second and a half and put your power on a 20 second cooldown
I'm just going to stick to michael

How to play GF:
Step 1: Get in a game.
Step 2: Get revealed through multiple walls
Step 3: DC.
Step 4: Repeat.
He's not good, just move on to another killer.

I can teach you, I am good as ghostface

Survivor is healthy? Stalk and hide till they pop.
Survivor is injured? Use stealth to get as close as possible than rush them.
Worked for me so far.

i use his power to track and ambush survivors.
always try to activate it when out of sight and then sneak away to ambush someone on a gen / going for the rescue.
you can also use the stalk when they are out in the open, but you should definitely not rely on it. ive played whole games without even stalking once. the big part of his power is getting a very early first hit (maybe even a gen grab?) and then your chasing skills.
if the chase takes long enough for you to get your power back, activate it and you will find mindgames to be tremendously easier for you.
just be aware of OoO survivors.
you basically can not use your power when one of these in in the game.
so all in all i'd say his power is all about getting out of sight and then getting a cheeky little stab out of nowhere.
