Dedicated Servers??
Anyone know if all platforms are getting dedicated servers when the stranger things chapter drops? Or are they going to have to recant their "summer 2019" statement?

Has there even been official word that dedicated servers are coming with the DLC on the 17th?
Because if there was, I missed it. And given what I experienced on the PTB with the dedicated servers, the netcode still needs a lot of work, so I would hope they're not launching them in a mere six days.

Its happening unless they announce a delay. Next Tuesday is the last Tuesday of Summer and they're due in Summer.

@BBQnDemogorgon Well, then they damned well better have the netcode ironed out. Because as of the last test, it was far from ready for prime-time on my end. And it wasn't my internet (as some on the forums like to argue). I have top of the line internet, and can run Overwatch at max with Netflix also streaming with zero lag or noticeable delay.
It was definitely the servers.
And I am east coast, United States. So, I doubt my signal has to travel far to ping their servers.

I can't seem to find the source but they have said implementation will be a multi-part process/rollout.
I'm betting that means the first "part" will be super rough.

@BBQnDemogorgon Guess that means for the first part, I'm probably going back to putzing around in F13 or Overwatch, then. So, I'm probably going to hold off on the upcoming DLC.
I can handle bugs. I can handle slow fixes. The one thing I have zero patience for is poor servers in an online game. I left Heroes of the Storm, a Blizzard game no less, over just that issue.

They can release content Monday through Friday. Even on consoles. No need to stick to Tuesdays or Thursdays.

i am with @Kilmeran on this one. if the servers aren't ready they shouldn't release them. Even if it's a first roll out and they want to push it through just because they promised us... it's gonna hurt them more than delaying it.

connectivity is way better and is the infratructure by itself (and no dodging anymore thank you) survivor experience is great but killer i agree is not that for sure.

You'll still be able to dodge/get dodged. SWF won't have to send invites to friends but if the killer leaves you still have to wait.

Yes but he doesn't close the lobby as it's not the host anymore.
