What is your genuine reaction to fear and being scared?
Personally I laugh when I get scared. I was wondering if anyone else does or whether I'm just insane. Who knows we could all be!
Usually when I'm scared I'm laughing because I'm like "omg you got me" or "what the actual [bad word] is happening" so many people find that odd.

I usually get scared for a second, then laugh it off.

I usually jump and shake for a few seconds. It's cool being scared.

I have tourettes so when I am anxious/scared I say nasty ######### like ''######### my ass''.

Usually when I am seriously scared, I start to look around. Trying to grab as many details as possible from the environment, because I am afraid of tunnel vision. This reaction of mine can backfire very hard, as you can imagine.

I can imagine you convincing yourself that you're seeing a scary face on a painting or something. You know it is and it was put there deliberately. Or is it you slowly going insane? Fun

I dont know what you mean by the going insane part.
What I mean is that if I am presented with a scary or dangerous situation (be it in a game, or real life) I start to weight as many possibilites as possible. Usually done by scouting the environment, and not the actual threat itself. Looking for things to fight back, looking for escape routes, looking for other individuals to help me, et cetera, et cetera. Like I said, I have made the unpleasant experience that tunnel vision, and 1-dimensionel solutions are usually too hasty, poorly worked out, and sometimes not even a viable solution to begin with. Just a natural defence mechanism I developed over time, because it worked out for me in most situations.

Poo poo
And/or pee pee
For real when I am GENUINELY scared.
If it's a jump scare like in a movie...probably just a mild fart. Possibly a shart.
I consider this a viable biological defense mechanism! Like a skunk!!!

Lemme tell you a story, me and my family went to a place where people scare you, halfway through I wanted to go home. I was on edge, not having fun and terrified. At the end my adrenaline kicked in and I started bolting because of a chainsaw, though I quickly realized what happened, it still wasn’t fun
I hate being scared basically.

I just realized how my story can relate to dbd lol

Ah gotcha, so you try to think about defending yourself before danger arrives. Probably one of the smartest approaches.
I misinterpreted your comment a little when talking about going insane at seeing faces, ignore that part😄

nobody likes being ACTUALLY scared.
people like.fun scares , roller coasters, haunted houses...but it's safe.
Nobody actually likes being genuinely scared. We all like thrills...we all hate being scared.
Myself included. Good thing I am so manly and nothing scares me except for 4x P3 claudettes.
Goodbye underwear...you are no use to me now...

Roller coasters scare me because I’m afraid of heights.😂
I fear a lot of things.
2 -
well now you're speaking my language! I fear roller coasters too because they always leave me with a headache.
and also that final destination movie....
and I also fear a lot of things....this is why it's best to stay indoors and play video games. No traffic accidents or violent criminals or harmful UV rays...
worst fear here is sweaty swf.....also deadly but I think I can hack it.

Which is another way of saying I freeze.
I am not useful in tense situations... :p

I only leave the house to visit people, play Pokémon Go, or if I have too.
I’ll leave for food too. My worst fear is dogs, not the dogs my family owns though.

One of the fieldtrips i went on in middle school was a six flags field trip, and for some reason me and my friends all thought it was a great idea to binge a couple final destination movies the day before
...ngl i may have been actually terrified going on all of the rides when we went, especially a ride called El Toro (which is a really old wooden roller coaster.) It was bad.

Whoa! You are very brave....leaving the house even for food??
Dont they have Doordash, Grub hub or Instacart where you are? Even EatStreet???
SIr, I don't know who you are but you are very brave. I haven't left the house in ages....too dangerous!
And this thing: to visit PEOPLE? Do they not have discord or even Skype? Do you actually SEE them in PERSON!? Don't they have germs???p
This is strange new territory!!!

Only thing that happens to me at the very most is a small startle. Never been really scared as an adult. Most things I just blow off like its nothing. And I been thru alot of things as an adult.

I wish you the best! Wear sunscreen! And I heard there are these things called "strangers". It seems we shouldn't talk to them. I hope that helps and I bid you good luck!

So the real scares never come from any form of media for me (though amnesia was very close to giving me a meltdown). When I am serioulsy scared and the tension does not resolve quickly, I'll get nervous and restless. When I get serioulsy shocked (as evidenced by my reaction to being suddenly grabbed by my husband during a horror movie, maliciously in sync with a shock effect) I'll start crying uncontrollably for maybe 20 minutes.
