The killer queue times really kill the experience
Why I have to wait 10 mins to get a game the day that the ranks reset I really don't understand

Not enough survivors playing

On Ps4 they are instant. Survivor queues tho, are pretty bad. :(

@ALEXISDIMOU01 Hey man, I'm playing survivor on PC despite being a killer main, but there's only so much I can do.

Not enough people feel survivor is fun enough to be worth playing.

same on Xbox

During the day on PC killer queues have always been a nightmare for me. I usually play at night now and have, at the most, two minute queues.
Survivor on PC has always been fast during the day, though.

I'd imagine Killers have a much harder time on PS4, a lot of the tricks you can do on PC to help in chase can't be done with a controller, and strong killers like Nurse and Huntress probably suck on PS4 as well (I wouldn't know).
More imortantly I'd imagine the SWF thing is different on PS4 compared to PC.

Huntress is fine-ish (if the frame rate allows it) and Nurse can be good but not as good as Pc. It's a tough to be a killer main on Ps4, I was one at one point. You can't really turn your camera as well plus that weird hit detection/"auto aim" thing really gets in the way. :(

We should increase objective time. That'll bring back more survivor players for sure.

People will claim it's a lack of survivors but its nonsense..I saw stats pulled showing it's a lack of killers/ the bad matchmaking algorithm
0 -
How is that possible? This would have to mean that survivor queue times are long as well. I mean, maybe they are for some? But I haven't seen anyone mention that yet. Not for PC that is. PS4 seems to be a different story.

Indeed..survivor cues tend to be longer for me..sometimes to the point where I just go play killer again

What platform do you play on?

Ps4

You're saying not enough killer players means longer que time for killer players???

Combined with skewed matchmaking with many survive with friends crews being forced to lower ranks due to the matchmaking system attempting to average out their levels? Yes is it that complicated ?

You need to realize that the game needs 4 times as many survivors than killers. 4 survivors to every 1 killer. There might be a bit more survivors than killers, but not enough.
You might not want to hear this but the game's growth is stagnant on the survivor side. For one, the game is a lot more frustrating to new survivors than new killers. I'm a killer main but I wouldn't be opposed to Survivor buffs in general (base survivability, not gen speed or perks that are only useful for experienced survivors with many hours such as DS, BT, etc) and nerfs to the top tier killers that are the favorites of deranking/smurf killers (Nurse, Spirit, Billy). For the sake of longevity for the game.
Also, killers have a lot more to look forward to with every new content release (new killer power/stats, new perks) whereas survivors only get new perks every content drop. This core fact means that there is more to hold killer player's interest long term than survivors.
Another problem is rank reset. Near the end of the rank reset (around 9th-12th of every month) the queues are fine for Killers. Maybe even quicker than Surv. This is because it takes a longer time for survivors to rank up than killers so the red ranks are empty a lot longer on one side. By the end of rank reset there are enough Survs to go around at red ranks. I think a good, quick solution would be to to change the rank reset from every month to every 2-3 months.

Ok several issues here..1..survivors are about to receive huge buffs to bridge the swf gap..2..punishing all killers to be mediocre for smurfers, especially when survivors smurf way easier in the current game..would be a terrible idea and it's not considerate to killers in the slightest , 3..yes camping sucks but we all broke through it..I'm tired of everyone expecting it all to be easy all the time..I didnt spend many hours practicing , STILL practicing with nurse and my other killers because it was easy..I did it because it gave me a sense of accomplishment and people should take more to that mind set

Source please?
I'm not taking your word for this. Show us the official stats.

Admittedly I cant remember the post I saw it on but based on my survivor cues vs my killer cues I'm inclined to believe it..plus..I havent seen ten minute killer cues in months anywhere so I have no reason to believe the opposing theory

PS4 is known to have a killer problem.
It's a totally different story on PC though. In fact, it's the exact opposite and you can't get enough survivors to fill up killer lobbies fast enough. There are variations for time of day and region, but in general killers have it really bad trying to fill their lobbies.
I'd still like to see your stats.

Well I already answered you as best I could and as I said it's not just me..watching dbd streams I havent seen the extreme killer cues either

I actually wouldn't mind big nerfs to gen time if they gave survivors more survivability options. Stealth and Sabo are one option to consider. The game has just become far too one-track minded for survivors.
Stealth is the ideal field to buff back up after years of nerfs, because stealth is what new survivors tend to do, and lower level killers are not as good at tracking. It's what's needed to even the playing field for new players, while experienced players can still see through stealth and will still be dealing with strong loopers in the higher ranks anyway.
Give us more options as survivor, and you can nerf the gen time all you want.

Als het echt zo is dat er weinig survivers zijn, dan snap ik dat. de killers maken ze steeds sterker en niemand wil dan als surviver spelen, wat logisch is.want dan is het niet leuk spelen meer als je het niet haalt iedere keer.

Could you please elaborate on your statement here? "survivors are about to receive huge buffs to bridge the swf gap."
I believe I have missed the buff notes. If you could inform me of the upcoming buffs I would be very grateful.

They have not released their current plans , but they are discussing ideas originally making kindred base kit was an idea but they decided against it, but I'd wager in the next couple months at most we will see something tested in a ptb

Thanks for clarifying that for me! I was just confused since you said that the buffs are about to happen, which implies (to me at least) that they're right around the corner.
Thanks for clearing that up for me. I thought I had missed an announcement or something.

No your good but it is top of their priorities because its their grand plan to balance around swf without punishing solos

Thank you for the common sense. This game requires 1 killer to 4 survivors. It's just logic that if killer que times are bad, it means not enough survivors.
Its like if queing up as survicor is sloooow, then logically it means not enough killer players.

Idk why, but when Im playing either survivor or killer a lot the que times go way faster, but when I get off and go to the other one it takes like 5 hours to get into a lobby
