Let's address DS
Using DS in high rank and was chased for sooo long by a Freddy and at the end he's like it's because you're using DS.....HMMMM I WONDER WHY smart one. Because of stuff like this, damned if you and damned if you don't but I don't wanna hear complaints about DS if killers will purposely tunnel just because they assume you have it.

those are the people who complain about decisive

Exactly!

Killers can't even know who has DS. Im more likely to tunnel someone AFTER beind Struck but that's the theme behind DS making you the obsession anyway. But before its used the obsession is random

Those are SOME of the people who complain about decisive.
Let's not just blanket everyone in a single definition ok?
4 -
But blankets are warm and cozy!

And not cool

Killers that immediately go after the same survivor deserve to get D-striked.
But survivors who had the opportunity to safely move away from the hook do not deserve a free escape. If you put yourself in harms way after having the chance to get away safely, then you should not get the benefit of DS.

Here we go again...

And per my situation, I tried to GTFO, yet he persisted. Only because he saw the claw marks by my name.

Why dont people listen when I tell them to make it TR based...?0 -
Disable it if you hook someone else.
Other than that it's fine.

I'd even accept disabling it after two hooks. I had a match where, after a Laurie got unhooked, I hooked two other survivors. I came across the Laurie again, downed her, and got DS'd.
Ridiculously unlucky: it was about one or two seconds from having been a full minute since she'd been unhooked. But it does demonstrate that DS is more than just an anti-tunneling perk.
1 -
yeah that's what I'm saying. RN it punishes efficient killers vs bad survivors in additiom to being a good antitunnel perk. Making it go away once there is a separate hook removes the invincibility it grants.

@savevatznick DS is not strictly an anti-tunnel perk only.
Also, many killers (ones that usually tunnel) are so bad that they will lose the survivor and keep looking until they come across them again to start tunneling again.

I had a match last night where there were two guys left. I downed one and hooked him and then downed the second one who had been hooked saved earlier while I was hooking someone else. I was so paranoid it hadn't been a minute I left him alone. The problem was they were SWF so they communicated so that mr. crawly was on the hatch and then his buddy intentionally let himself die so the hatch would open and he got out.
DS is also being used with head on to bully killers. Had a guy hop in a locker in earshot (didn't know who it was), so I opened it, he DS'd me, then head one, then tried firecrackers.
Anti-tunneling perk my entire ass.

My only issue with ds is it's not truly anti-tunnel. I can down someone else, hook them and down the person who got unhooked before and i get an undeserved stab in the back for nothing just cause the timer wasn't off. It's more of an annoyance than anything cause I do everything i can not to tunnel.

No where has it been said that DS is an anti-tunneling perk, it never has been. It's just been nerfed to make it look like an anti-tunneling perk because we can all agree that Old DS was broken. If you all really hate DS that much then run Make your Choice, it's a great perk to help you with the time (oh but wait? you don't want to get rid of one of your Meta Perks, then don't complain about DS which is another Meta perk, simple really).

I don't tunnel and complain about it because people will purposely fail to activate it, and also if you can remember if that one claudette between the other 3 is the one you previously hooked

That, or the person with DS hops on a gen. Super fun that the survivor has carte blanche to do their objective and forego healing for 60 seconds without repercussion, but the killer can't do their objective if that person is on death hook.

Because there are killers like wraith, ghostface, Myers, and pig

Watch Monto’s newest YouTube video, you might be disappointed

I complain about Decisive simply because it will sometimes brand me (Self Care, Botany Knowledge, Pharmacy, Plunderers Instinct.) With the Obsession mark just to get me tunneled and killed for mistaken assuming I have DS.
1 -
"punishes efficient killers" maybe it's the game's way of telling you to slow down and stop kill-rushing.
1 -
Lol, that's like telling survivors to stop gen-rushing, also known as doing the objective. Killing is the killers objective just like gens are the survivors objective

If Decisive Strike was designed to counter tunnelling, then it would only proc when it happens; for N seconds after being unhooked you can use it. It's just an OP perk as it stands, although it may never come up so I guess that's how the devs consider it balanced.
Still, it really makes toxic high ranked survivors way worse knowing that you're getting doubly punished for not camping them. Like, yeah, if I reach red ranks I'm probably just going to camp anyone that was toxic during a chase out of spite and hope I de-rank from it.

I'm pretty sure thats the joke he is making LMAO, no way anyone can say that seriously.

I really hope so

Exactly my point, some killer will purposely tunnel you for seeing those claw marks by your name, and say it's because they assume I have ds. But the whole reason I use ds is because of what they're doing then and there.

The only reason I can see someone doing this is to get it out of the way so they wont get hit by it in an endgame scenario later on. It really sucks to be in a lose lose situation where you either eat a DS or watch someone crawl out the exit gates.

PS4: I wish I didn't have to run DS, but ever since I started getting to green and purple ranks consistently, I get tunneled so often it's become part of my meta build. There are plenty of other perks I'd rather use in that slot, but it is what it is. I've had matches where I've been tunneled so hard hook after hook that DS saved me from depipping. A lot of killers who suspect I have DS leave me on the ground for a minute while they do other stuff. I swear some of them have timers as sometimes I get picked up immediately after 1 minute has passed.

here is a little example to why i still think this perk needs changes:
yesterday i hooked a survivor in my basement.
they got rescued, though i exposed the rescuer with ghostface.
i literally ignored the injured survivor and let them go, to down the healthy dude and hook him.
after hooking him, i see jake (healthy) and the previously unhooked survivor charge at me.
the injured guy immediately hookfarmed their friend, i interrupted them (grab) and got D-striked.
now jake bodyblocked and all escaped through the opened door.
DS should NOT give the survivor literal godmode for 60 seconds after being unhooked! that is just BS and needs to be changed, so scenarios like this, where the killer gets punished for doing nothing wrong can be prevented.

Absolutely a must in PS4 Red and Purple. Those Killers tunnel non-stop, match after match. I had one such major tunneler last night, The Clown. Poor idiot tunneled me exclusively off the Hook, managed to get DS then Adrenaline kicked in and I got away. He DC as soon as EGC began. I really don't want to waste a slot on DS but it is truly needed on PS4.
I disagree with adding more conditions to DS, it already has getting put into the Dying State and grabbed within 60s and succeeding a narrow Skill Check to work.

Yah I kinda was.
