DS idea
I posted this as a random reply elsewhere but I don't want it to get buried and think the idea has merit.
How about the killer AND the survivor get a skill check at the same time? If the killer AND survivor hits it, it cancels out. It adds some skill and chance to the mechanic. If the killer misses, he knows it was his fault and oh well. Maybe next time.
I'm not even saying get rid of the 60 second timer. However, maybe after 30 seconds, the head to head skill check kicks in to keep it "anti-tunneling" but give others a chance who don't tunnel and find them in a locker later?
Regardless, I like the idea of a survivor/killer head to head skill check for SOMETHING at least. @Peanits, is this something you guys have discussed internally before?

Good killer = DS is completly useless as he would never miss the skill check (maybe once every 50 games)

Here's an idea you can have for free. Don't tunnel or wait the obligatory amount of time until DS is no longer active. Alternatively if it's early game take the DS hit and continue on. 3 ideas that can help you counter a very easily avoided and situational perk.

Killers don't get skill checks; I don't see that being changed, nor do I think it should be changed.
Just disable DS after another survivor has been hooked, as long as the survivor with DS isn't currently slugged; otherwise, the 60-second countdown continues as normal. There, it discourages tunneling off the hook without punishing a killer who's not tunneling, and it doesn't shorten the timer if the survivor with DS is slugged before someone else is hooked.
