The pain of 'We'll Make it'
You decide to select We'll Make It. Everything's going well so far. Someone gets hooked but it doesn't matter because you have BT and We'll Make it. Meg gets hooked as you unhook David. You want to heal, you must heal. But he runs and runs.... and runs.
You scream 'WHY A YOU RUNNIN'? WHY A YOU RUNNIN??' but he. Just. Keeps. Running. Ace has joined in at some point and you chase after David together but David doesn't stop. You point, you come hither him but to no luck. David won't stop, no not until he finds the furthest rock in the furthest corner in the map. Finally you can heal with the last of We'll Make It!!! You heal him 1/4 of the way there but he starts running again. We'll Make It has now run out and the killer finds us. It was all a waste of time. Curse you David!!
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. As you can tell from my harrowing tale many a survivor loves to run, but please... no more.
On a serious note, I love We'll Make It but it can be aggravating as hell, especially after rank rest lol
How long have you had to chase someone down to heal them, or even them heal you?

i wouldnt even mind if they were to immediately sit on a gen though...
if they just run in a corner to selfcare... well... dont expect to survivor that game any other way than through the hatch, my friend xD

Unless I really need to heal someone, like for a Daily Ritual, then I will only follow them so far before I say "screw it" and go back to doing gens. Doesn't matter if I have WMI or not.
And I refuse, refuse, to follow survivors to the edge of the map to heal them, anymore. I have died so many times because I followed them to the edge to heal them.

@Mister_xD Yeah XD it's just the utter waste of time when they do that lol. If I can't find anyone to heal me I'll hop on a gen.
No that match didn't go well, David was on the ground, Ace was hooked and I didn't watch where I was going and stepped in a trap, got 1 hooked :(
*sigh* too altruistic

@TragicSolitude Yeah I'm getting to that point too, I was so sure he was gonna stop. If I'd known he'd go that far I would have left him XD

It sucks when you know the killer is on the other side of the map and they still run

I know this pain too well :(

They get 1 cover, they wanna hide behind the rock nearby? Fine. After that I'll leave.
I also won't bother healing you if you try and/or succeds to kobe while I'm going to unhook you

It doesn't always work, but I try to just say in the pregame chat to not run unless you happen to KNOW the Killer is there cuz of this perk

@NuclearBurrito unfortunately I'm on PS4 so there's no end game chat. To be fair though, I probably did the running thing when I first started this game XD

I meant the pregame chat but PS4 doesn't have that either soooo.... well #########.

@NuclearBurrito I forgot there was a pregame chat on PC lol XD

The reason I took off We'll Make it. It VERY RARELY gets any use. I had one game where an Adam decided to sit on a gen while I emoted away to try to get him to let me, until we finished it and my We'll Make It ran out. THEN he wanted the heal. Sorry but with the Hag surely coming after we just finished that gen and no more We'll Make It, you're on your own. Of course that Adam shortly after was downed.

I run We'll Make It regularly and this is what I hate seeing the most.

Even if the survivor is just running from a small distance away from the hook, I just ignore them and work on a gen. I mean, if the killer is no where near us, just stand still and let me heal you otherwise you're just wasting my time and I'm not going to deal with that.

The upside is an icon now shows up for the person if you have the perk. It lets them know "Hey, I can heal you up real quick." Back in the day we just chased them, chanting the name to ourselves to stave off frustration.

The stupidest part of this whole situation is that that shouldn't even be necessary. It tells you when your rescuer has WMI, the same way that it tells you when they have BT, so you should be able to adjust your playing accordingly.
I don't know what rank this happened at, maybe David was just new. But if he wasn't new and just too moronic to look at his HUD in the 30 seconds you (OP) spent chasing him around, well... he deserved to die.

I stopped running WMI on my solo build. I get running away from the hook. But there are idiot survivors thay insist on just self-caring. Too many of them. Terrible teammates.

That is annoying too.

@Fibijean obviously is after rank reset. I'm usually purple/red rank but was rank 11 last night when it happened. I think David may have been a yellow or brown rank. I kept getting put with brown potato squads. One round the killer let me live cause team was so bad 🤣
Also had a round last night with a potato crew and a Meg refused to stop moving while downed, trying to heal but just wouldn't stop crawling. I have no explanation for this -as you can probably guess they died first. And then I got 1 hooked after saving everyone multiple times, couldn't be bothered to get me apparently :( oh the joys of rank reset
