new player flood already started?
so, it may have just been a fluke, but im a rank 15 suvivor (i know, im a pleb) and i just played 2 matches to get a daily ritual done. 6 rank 20's with either no perks, or only one perk. only one of them had an add on too so... yeah, a lot of newer players in just 2 matches. guess they're already flooding in.

I've seen a few self-proclaimed very new players around the forums recently as well, so I think you're right. I'm excited! Hopefully they'll stick around in the long run.

To be able to play as stranger things people in addition to most* of the horror icons should retain a percentage of them, wether that percentage is 10 or 50 depends somewhat on the devs and significantly on the way the established community treats them. Not saying don’t cave their heads in but message them after with a gg and a quick tip about something you saw them doing horribly wrong ;)

you can always check the player count on the steam charts, i don't know if it shows the player count for ps4 or xbox tho.

I've seen a lot of very green killers on PS4, lately. I feel bad, seeing rank 19 and 20 killers up against survivors in the 16-14 ranks. The difference in skill is obvious. The killers are getting stomped, and I when I see the screen at the end I'm like, "Wow... I hope that match didn't crush their spirits."
I really, really wish this game had a better tutorial for killers. Or that it kept rank 18-20 killers with rank 18-20 survivors. Or both. Both would probably be good.

alright ive played a couple more matches and yeah, still getting brand new players. ive started running Plunderer's instinct and leaving all the items at exit gates, just to help out the newer players

What rank are the killers?

ive had 3 rank 20 killers, though... one of them had all tier 3 perks so i dont think they count. for one of the killers that was missing like half their swings, i sacrificed myself in the basement for them. the other one got a really skilled shot with a hatchet and she got 2 kills anyway, so i think she was fine

They probably try to get a bit familiar with the game before buying it, to see if it's truly worth buying just for ST. (The first free hour on Steam.)

I mean, I also noticed a few low Rank players in my Lobbies, both as Survivor and as Killer. Yesterday (currently Rank 10 Killer) I had two Rank 20s in my Lobby. And it was 100% clear that those are legit Rank 20s, one Dwight was missing every Skill Check.

Yeah, I noticed more new players on PS4 too. Both killers and survivors. They often stick to playing Huntress (dunno why).
At the survivor side...damn...having perk BOND really hurts now, cause I can see all the survivors doing nothing 😁. Crouch walking all the time, being hidden behind some object for a long time or not even trying to unhook me.
