Kill Switch update: The issue affecting Baermar Uraz's Ugly Sweater has been fixed and the cosmetic has been reenabled in all queues with this update.

A mechanic called children in distress.

Well I honestly wish people wouldn't take this game so seriously anymore, and just play for fun for both sides. But lets face it, camping and survivors being able to dodge attacks, is always going to be there and rankings doesn't help that either.

Sooo...yeah thats a dead hope.

But I was thinking of new mechanic that can give you more blood points, and that can make it easier and/or harder for survivors and/or killers. So someone was wondering Lore wise, why aren't there any kids in the realm of the entity.

(before you all freak out and say stuff like "So now we aren't just sacrificing survivors, but kids too, #########!?! I don't want to mori a kid!" first off, no you don't sacrifice the kids thats going a little to far)

You all: Well how do I find one?

All survivors have a 15% chance to find a child hiding in a chest. (they are supposed to be a ULTRA RARE item based )
However, the chances are increased if you look in the basement chest, have "Plunderer's instinct, Empathy, and/or if you are the obsession. if all these conditions meet, then you have a 90% chance.
(NOTE only one child per match, and you can't bring them into matches, you have to find them. unless your playing kill your friends, it might be different)

You all: Okay so what do they do?

Think of them as the ultimate item, but at a very costly price.

Good things for Survivors (Bad for Killers)
1. Children can help you work on gens 7% faster (Note they don't take up a spot while working on the gen, they work along side you)
2. They can heal you at 25% the normal healing speed. ( its slower then self care, because they are young and don't want to hurt you) They also can help you unhook and heal other survivors a little quicker. (No they can't help you escape the hook if the other survivors or killer aren't around)
3. (Not really something I think people will use but) They can help you sabotage hooks, if you are running "Saboteur"
4. (this is situational but) If you are against trapper, they can help you escape his bear traps. (but it might not work the first try, it could take 1 2 or 3 tries at the most to escape)
5.(ONLY) For Killers like the Wraith, The Shape, The Pig, and Freddy, Children will stop helping you (if you were working on a gen or something) and look in a direction of where the killer....Might be, they could just end up looking in the wrong direction.
6. And if you escape with them, you get x2 the amount of the points you made during the match.
(BIG NOTE: You give up the item your caring to hold the child's hand, so they won't trip, and/or so you can keep them close when your running)

Good for the Killers (Bad for Survivors)
1. A child and a Survivor leave more tracks that last a little longer.
2. Any failed skill checks are louder, because it scares the child into screaming.
3. It takes longer to hide in a locker (even if you try to run inside, its going to be slow) they also cry for you when injured and inside the locker. Thus almost making it impossible to hide (Unless you are running "Iron Will" or "No Mither")
4. Certain Killers have effects on children. Huntress's lullaby makes kids hum along with it. Doctor gives kids their own madness and to keep them from screaming survivors need to help them snap out it. Hag's traps make children cry a little longer then the heart beating afterwards. The Shape's Stalk meter fills up faster while stalking both survivor and child. Hill Billy and Leather face's chain saw noises will cause them to cry. Clown....he has gas bombs I'm sure you get the idea.
5. Obviously I think a survivor wouldn't be able to vault. (even if they did, the vault has a animation of getting the kid through first.)
6. Skill checks are a little bit smaller, and have a higher chance appearing. And if the survivor with a kid, are within the terror radius of the killer, the kid will stop helping the survivor, and a skill check will appear every 3 seconds.
7. While in a chase, if the killer misses hitting the survivor, then they might grab the kid instead. If the killer hits the survivor with "Franklin's Demise" or if the killer downs the injured survivor, the survivor will push the child in front of them and have them keep running. The child will get far away and crouch in a hidden spot or hide in a locker til found by either side.
8. If killer catches a child, then instead of hooking or killing them, the killer chains them to the bottom of the hook. If the killer hooks a survivor by the captive child, they get extra points. HOWEVER!!!! if this is done, if the killer is within 32 meter's of the hooked survivor and captive child, then killer's aura will be revealed to nearby survivors (A survivor can save the child very quietly, but it takes more time then unhooking another survivor, about as long as it takes to search a Jigsaw box, the process can be sped up with a Tool Box and/or "Saboteur".
9. If the killer has killed all the survivors, (or not) but still has the child chained to the hook, the killer will get x2 the amount of points they made during that match.

Other stuff/NOTES: Pallets work the same with kids.
Perks like Hope, Adrenaline, Sprint Burst, Dead Hard, and Balanced Landing all work even with a kid.
Getting through the hatch takes longer.
If the survivors leave the kid behind and the killer doesn't have them chained to a hook, then no one gets the points.

You guys: Well what do the survivors and killers do if the have the kid back at the camp fire?
(LORE WISE)
Survivors will take them back to the camp fire, but only for the child to runaway back into the fog.
Killers will bring them back as well, but the child will escape them, and runaway into the fog to hide.

The entity knows it can't feed on these survivors forever, so it needs fresh hope from victims who haven't died in a trial.....yet

Benedict's Baker "I was searching a chest for something useful, only to find a child hiding inside! I was shocked and wondered what I should do, but I already knew what I should do after hearing a heart beat. I quickly took their hand as we ran and hid inside a locker. I manage to escape with the child, but they ran away back into the fog after I brought them back to the fire. I can only hope they might truly escape, or else they might suffer the same fate we have"

You guys: "Why would we want this?"

Well it would make amazing challenge/daily ritual for survivors and for killers.
The kids could could have random cosmetics, while some could be references, like Alice, Fran bow, the Crying child from FNAF. And whatever you can thing of.
At the very least this could make interesting holiday event.

I know this might be a big stretch, but do you think this might be fun?
