"Depths of Despair" Chapter (Bioshock Lore)
The Bioshock series offers a couple potentially intrinsic ideas to catch the entity's eye.
The Big Daddy would make a powerful, spooky killer.
He would move much like The Cannibal, slower move speed and fist punch M1 attack, and
his drill could function much like other charged weapon abilities.
Considering the Demogoron now adds a lunge ability when charging M2 and then pressing M1,
the Big Daddy Drill could offer either an instant down when charged fully or put survivors into the
wounded state and add a "chit" or "token" that powers up one of the perks being utilized by the Big Daddy killer.
As Bioshock lore revolves around splicing or augmenting human abilities, when the Big Daddy killer hits a survivor that has a token on it, which could be removed by visiting a special station similar to that of other killers to remove it, an element could offer some advantage. Electricity to let out the occasional scream which pin points the survivor's location, fire which slows down healing and leaves "scorch marks" which make the trail of scratch marks to follow a survivor easier to see/last longer, or crows which make crows squawk. There is a wealth of potential to choose from based on level design/synergy with other current perks.
The Big Daddy play style should revolve around being a powerhouse of a killer, meaning he has presence, and is for those seeking heavy hitting big pay offs. He is not a trap or mobility killer. He does not use surveillance perks, but could negate some of these. A perk that would regress a generator and hide it from survivor view because of how hard it was hit for "X" amount of time for example.
This could also be simply a facet of the Big Daddy killer as well. The drill, of course being supernatural/science fiction in nature could have a single charge that when expended puts a spike or drill bit into a survivor that prevents them from sprinting. This would not negate exhaustion perks as to be unbalanced, but instead makes the survivor act more tactically. The Big Daddy overall movement speed could also be reduced if this charge is expended.
The central idea is to utilize an amazing and thriller-based lore source that offers a killer that hits hard but also must be played with a higher skill cap.
