Opening Hatch while Downed
I think it would be a good idea to open the hatch while downed. Many times, if you have a key and the person who was hooked was about to be sacrificed, the killer would stand on the hatch and down you. Right when the hatch opens, the killer either closes the hatch before you can leave or pick you up and take you to a hook. For these reasons, I think opening the hatch while downed is a good idea.

I'd rather the Key have some amount of counterplay to it, personally. Currently, if the Killer has closed the Hatch, and you have the Key and are not downed, you already are in a very good position to escape, which is not insignificant. Given how a Survivor is already not meant to be favored at that point in the game, I don't really see the necessity in further tipping the scales toward someone with a Key (even if it is not by a lot).

Just like how every spirit main etc tells us to run perks to SPECIFICALLY counter them, I guess the double standards could apply to just run franklins? :)

Nice strawman.

This will pretty much be a buff to something that does not need to be buffed

No. As stated long time ago you can't because you can't use any object while downed. Plus is already stupid seeing dying survivor taking a big jump entering the hatch.

Franklin's doesn't counter Keys.

@Cynical_Simplicity I agree with you, and to@YaiPa why would it look stupid if a survivor jumps in when they have a key? Is it not logical for someone crawling with a key to be able to open a hatch? They can recover and are not actually dead so it makes sense to be able to open the hatch. @TheHoodedOne This would be a minor logical buff for people with a key in the dying state.

We don't need logic in this game

I said that dying survivors can't open the hatch for mechanics in the game. And I said that the current animation for escape through the hatch while on the dying state is illogical, I don't buy that someone so injured he needs to crawl, all of a sudden jumps in the air from the ground.
