One game in 30 minutes
On PC (rank 5 atm). Queue up. Wait 6 1/2 minutes to get a lobby. 3 survivors join lobby. Another minute for a 4th. One person doesn't hit ready. Finally get to the loading screen. Someone d/c's on the loading screen. Re-queue. Another 8-10 minutes pass. Another loading screen d/c. Play a survivor game. Try another killer game. Give up at 7 minutes in queue.
I get that a DLC just dropped, but we've been having this problem with every DLC killer release since I've been playing. Is there really nothing that can be done to smooth queues around release times? Can we not give survivors 10k bloodpoints just for being survivors for 2 weeks after a killer releases?

Nobody wants to play survivor, take a guess why. :)

You kinda hit the nail on the head.
You shouldn't force people to rank up and you shouldn't force new players to play against higher ranks give incentives yes but forcing it results in killer queues just being completely dead because no one wants to play survivor.

it's sad where the game is and how they haven't figured out a way to make it run better/ "skill cap" balanced. If they allocated more time and people to improving the game for PC/Console instead of branching out to mobile, Switch, and even DLC hunting we'd probably have a stable more fun game at this point.

Because the matchmaker sucks?

Blows my mind how people still don't get new killer = more killers = longer killer que times

Survivor is generally an unrewarding experience providing little gain for a lot of effort depending on your teammates. Extra effort if they suck=less opportunity to get points you want like objective. Team mates too good, good luck getting boldness altruism or objective depending on where you fit in the team.
Or the fact the killer can just decide they don't like you and face camp/mori.
Yeah if survivor got as many bloodpoints as killer then maybe, but even then I think killer is just more engaging than survivor will ever be. Either you hold m1 or get chased. Chasing is fun but if it is against an m1 killer, easy. Nurse or spirit. yeah you might as well take a nap because if you run you will only die tired.

Meanwhile as Survivor I'm playing 3-4 games every 30 minutes. I feel sad for killers.

Blows my mind how it's always long killer queue times even when there isn't a new killer.

If it gives you any consolation, it takes a lot of time to get into a game as a survivor as well. You can find a lobby in 5-20 seconds but they take forever to be filled even during peak hours.

The amount of time a killer and survivor take to fill the lobby is different; of course the survivor that joined last has it much faster, but when I line up for killer games I can spend 5 minutes waiting for a lobby, the once I'm in the lobby I wait another minute before a survivor even shows up.
And killers take a lot longer to get a lobby (measured in the minute as opposed to seconds for survivor) -- that alone makes a huge difference in the waiting time of a killer.
In my experience as a survivor lobbies tend to fill up really fast, doesn't take more than a minute once I join the lobby. And finding a lobby is just 5-10 seconds usually.

But in the 40 games or so I have played Survivor since the DLC dropped I have faced like 5 Demogorgons.

Can't ever have a queue discussion without some silly little killer/survivor player coming in and saying "well duh, guess why it long cause broken blah blah"
Very annoying, also this only validates my Feng Meng player Hivemind theory
I'm not wrong
