The Match-Making is Finally Working!
Right when the update happened, I started a lobby and instantly it created one. Soon after I played my match and things went well, started up another match and BOOM INSTANT LOBBY!!!
Things are looking up now folks! THANK YOU BHVR!!! Now I don't have to wait 5 minutes+ each time for another lobby as Killer :DDD

So far the two matches I went up against was my own ranks.
The standard Reds, with the mix of Purples. First match was Reds, 2nd had 2 Purples.

They should be as far as what I read from the patch notes.
The Dying Light one hasn't shown up yet though, so I don't know if I missed it or it hasn't been fixed yet.

I'm on PS4 and I have long queue times for BOTH roles. Was able to play 4 matches in 1,5 hours.

Just got the patch. I tried getting into a lobby as survivor. It is taking more than a minute now as I type.
What?!
I'm not liking this patch already. Be back to make a sandwich. If the lobby isn't ready by then I'm gonna try killer.

Just got into the lobby. Getting into the match now. I was last so it didn't take long. Almost took about 2 minutes to find a lobby. This is not an improvement for me as a survivor. Will continue to monitor the situation, maybe it's just today at this time.

For Killers, its actually something all of us have wanted for a long time. I'm not dissing Survivors, but its kinda of fair that we don't have to wait 5minutes+ now for lobby's anymore, while Survivors usually got them under 30 seconds.
Like seriously, this is BIG and its actually something that will make me want to play more often again. The cue times is what killed it for me over these pasts months, so i'm very happy its been improved on Killers side finally.
Maybe it was just that specific time for you when looking for a lobby? Maybe cause of rank or because it was just an off search?

Took me 5 minutes to find a lobby as killer. Am still waiting for the lobby to fill as of this writing. No real improvement, same for me. At least I'm not seeing severe mismatches in the survivor group.
Overall, probably a good thing, I'm thinking the game is not forcing me to go into groups with mismatched rankings. There's some wait time as survivor now which is not good, but if it fixes the ranking issues I'll be happy.
I don't know about the time. This is when I usually play. I'll continue to monitor the situation... but I need to fix the damn graphics. My framerates are too choppy to play the game at the moment thanks to that wretched forced-Anti Aliasing. BHVR is really telling me to buy a new computer.

And no, the mismatched ranks is still a problem, I was just complementing the fact that lobby's don't take 5minutes+ now. But in your case, I don't know why it hasn't improved.

As survivor I'm getting a lobby in 2-3 minutes and before was 2-3 secs. Is this normal now?

Seems to be the case. Same for me. This unbearable 2-3 minute survivor wait is killing my buzz. I sympathize with killers, but there's a reason I became a Survivor main (everythign to do with queue time).
As always it seems your mileage may vary depending on your region.
If this is still the case tomorrow it means BHVR screwed up big time.
It also means my long-running thesis that there is a survivor shortage is wrong. Heheheh!

Seems the roles have reversed with queue times. This is good for me as a Killer main but bad for Survivors, a double edged sword indeed...
I might as well enjoy the instant lobby's before they either revert the changes, or HOPEFULLY it becomes instant for us all :D

It's still nowhere as bad as the 10-minute queues I used to suffer as killer a year or so back, at least.

Seems to be the same on NA in purpe ranks. Killer queues take a long time, and survivor ranks are all over the place.

Perhaps its a region thing like what @Mochan said, or it could be a rank thing also. Cause it's been awhile since rank reset, so a fair bit of people should be at red or purple by now...
I can't exactly pin-point why I have better queue times than some people here... It seems to be good for some, but worse or slightly better for others...

@DeadByMemelight @Peanits Same here as a Rank 18 killer. Queues are now around 10 minutes, and I'm getting anywhere up to Rank 12 and Rank 11 in my games. Granted, they aren't good Rank 12's and 11's, but that is till a +6 and +7 rank difference.

Isn't Grey Rank usually the one that gets the longest queue times though? Since most players that play are usually Yellow or above after a week or so of rank resets.

@FireHazard Oh, the queue times don't bug me. My killer queues are always like that during the day, which is why I tend to play at night. At night they are 2-4 minutes.
I included it for context since I tagged Peanits. I'm getting my Rank 18 Killer lobbies with Rank 12's and 11's for survivors, which is a +6 to +7 rank difference. I mentioned the queue times incase that was a factor, as in after that long it just keeps expanding the matchmaker to grab what it can along the Rank chain.

The queue times definitely are better for some than others, I think its a region thing or rank thing.

@FireHazard I've also been checking steam profiles (not something I usually do) and noticed survivors from the U.K., Sudan, and Asia quite often.
Out of 5 matches, for a total of 20 survivors, only two were United States. Three were Unknown. The other 15 were U.K. or Asia, with a few from Sudan (different matches, so not SWF).

For the record, my survivor lobbies are back to 5 seconds so I'm a happy camper.
Killer lobby still 5 minutes. So matchmaking did nothing for me.
Seems it was just the time of day I guess. Asian killers must have been asleep.

An odd turn of events indeed. In-general, I suppose we won't fully know the origins as to why my match-making is insanely faster than for example yours...

@FireHazard What platform and region are you? Mochan is the Asian region, but not sure about platform.
Survivors in my lobby have been all over the regions during the day, as I mentioned earlier, but I am PC platform, east coast United States region.
Haven't tested it tonight. Am about to, but have been waiting for the Shrine update. I have BP to spend and wanted to see what was in the Shrine for shards before I commit the BP to unlocking something.

When you do test it, let me know in this post and i'll see what the results are when i'm back online... I don't know if i'll be on by the time you get the results as its 8PM EST already, but I will eventually get to it.
