If they don't drop the pallet and running around a circle? Like some pallet loops on trees on Coldwind?

Wind up the hatchet the first time, to understand if they're smart. If they don't drop down, then is kinda a 50/50, where the survivor have a slight advantage, since they can drop the pallet a little further after they ran.

You need to look for gaps in the loop, for example some loops have windows embedded in the loop, so you need to take advantage of when a Survivor vaults these windows and what routes they take with the loop.

If you mean the pallets with the half walls, some of those loops can actually have your hatchets go over them, depending on what angel you throw them at. So if you aim down where someone is behind the wall, the hitbox will hit the wall. You'll want to aim up a bit more than usual for the hatchet to go over the half wall.

Now for loops like shack, you'll want to take advantage of some Survivors that rely on looking behind them for when you wind up a throw. Sometimes they'll fake a window vault so you throw the hatchet at the window, instead you'll want to anticipate this and see if they'll actually vault the window or not before releasing the throw. When vaulting a window, a Survivor is gravitated towards it before they vault. You can clearly tell when they're going to vault and when they're not going to vault because of this animation.

Also, make sure to use moonwalking around loops that have walls, and mind-game and double back on corners and areas that have short distances between the pallet. This will give you the chance to actually get a hit or a hatchet throw off.

Also, a small tip. When successfully hitting a Survivor with a hatchet, make sure to follow it up with a regular M1, as most Survivors tend to bump into walls when they get hit by a hatchet because they were too busy looking behind them to know whats in front of them.

I find usually you either need to leave the chase or just brute force it (just follow, no mind games). Usually you can bait them to drop the pallet in front of you and hit them with a hatchet, but really ballsy survivors won't do that. That's when you just hug the loop as tight as possible and got for a normal hit. Though even against those ballsy survivors when they see you not wind up a hatchet at the pallet and totally disrespect it 3 times in a row, then you are right behind them, they will still drop the pallet and you can hit them.

Then it is better to leave because I don't think you gain bloodlust.

Oh yea, some loops it's easy to lose bloodlust. Those are the ones you really need to avoid, or at the very least force the survivor to run the loop the "wrong" way. However on a good chunk of these types of loops there is usually a way to get you can line up a hatchet throw to either get a hit or at least make them not hug the loop so you can catch up. Most loops you can beat with hatchets though.

The most you can do at loops where LOS is blocked is to windup the hatchet right at the pallet if you're expecting the survivor to drop the pallet or run straight through if you think they're going to keep running and not drop it.

    It's basically a 50/50.
