Losing Rank
Not sure if this was posted yet, didn't see it on the first page anyway, but is anyone else losing rank? Playing the Switch version and I know I reached Rank 19 (Yea, big tough thing to do, I know) but now I am back to Rank 20 on both Killer and Survivor with no pips. This has happened a few times already. Anyone else? Console or PC?

I haven't experienced anything like that, Switch just came out today so... Maybe its something specifically happening on there?

Maybe, if I keeps happening I'll report it and hopefully things get sorted out. Day one after all, I suppose there are bound to be some issues.

No, I lagged out of one but it happened before that match.

Sometimes it take a match or two for the pips to get taken away from you, might be the case. Otherwise yeah maybe the switch version has some bugs.

On Switch? Yeah, from what I've seen right now its kind of been iffy since it came out today.
I'm sure the kinks will be sorted out as time progresses on there.

It's really annoying too as other people are Ranking up no problem lol I went against some 19s and 17s already so it's an issue that's being picky if it's an issue at all.

If you want, you can file a support ticket to see if they have any info on this. It could be specifically for Switch, or it could be a well known issue. Either way, they'll let you know.

happened to me as well. played most of the evening, logged back in right now and it's rank 20 with no pips.

too bad there's no option to tag a Nintendo Switch as your platform. how do i even report this?

To report an issue, you need to bring it up to the support team by filing a ticket and giving a detail description of the problem. Using proof such as video, screenshots, etc. Would help the team sort the issue out much faster.

I posted about this a few days ago lemme find the link.
No one has responded from behavior after multiple attempts.
I play on PS4 and ranking is BROKEN. No emblems showing up, pips shown different in lobby vs end game screen vs hovering over your rank, getting random de-pips AND pips... it's all over the place!

I stopped updating the post because I had no response or confirmation. When I asked for it to be moved to PS4 Bug Report no one did.
If you're on PS4 also keep track on your BP there's an issue there as well...

Ok well, making a post isn't exactly going to get an answer from the devs all the time... If you want a solid source to get an answer from. Than you'll have to bring it up with the support team and they'll assist you there.

They will give you an answer, its not instantaneous, but they will respond and give you an answer to your question. This is the best I can do for you in terms of assistance, as I'm not a mod or a developer... So I can't do more than direct you to people who're linked to the devs.

I didn't initially file the bug report because I wasn't sure if it was just my experience. I also don't ever expect anyone from the Dev Team to respond however moving the post to the correct forum would have been helpful.

This is happening to me as well on switch. Everytime I turn it off, i go back to rank 20 with no pips. I hope they fix this soon. It's pretty frustrating...

Sometimes if you close your app right after a match the game doesnt save your progress in time which is stupid and resets it to what it was before a couple minutes ago.

i was at Rank 15, finally moving up in the world, and the game crashed just as I was about to escape. Turn the game back on and I am back at Rank 20 no pips for both Killer and Survivor. I REALLY hope there is a fix for this.

Same thing for me. I already create a post in the (report bug) about that. I was rank 17 and after a double pip with nurse I was rank 20.
To precise its on Switch I just put (Switch) in the title.

They are at least aware of it and a couple other issues, such as running slower while moving diagonally. Something I noticed right away but thought I was seeing things or imagining it.

Yeah me too i was really confused. I was pretty sure i ranked up before work and then i tried playing a couple matches and turned off the switch and there it was. The shards and bp were fine but the rank was all gone. I just got the new switch so i was really looking forward to it. I still am. But this game can be soo buggy 😭 i've had it on ps4 for a while but i am not home that much now so it kinda appealed to me. I hope they look into this soon.

If you are decent you could do I what I have been doing, playing David at level 1 with WGLF and grinding BP while they work out the kinks.

I am not touching any Survivor yet level wise so I am staying Level 1 David lol I am leveling Nurse for Thana and Nurse's Calling so I can continue on my Warpath as Ghostface.

I'm basically doing what you're doing but with killer, running trapper/ghostface and dumping all my bps into hag for that ruin baby!

I was debating getting Ruin but thanks to the Rank bug I feel I can take my time getting Ruin. I'll be only really ranking up as Survivor anyway so my kitted out Ghostface will do well enough in the early Ranks until I REALLY need Ruin lol I mean, I got a 4K as Pig with just Surveillance, so running Thrilling Tremors, Nurse's Calling, Thanataphobia and Sloppy Butcher on Ghostface will be overkill.

Same is happening to me. I’ve pipped to 19 with one pip three times and three times reset to 20 no pips. Kinda frustrating. Guess I’ll wait for the patch to continue playing on Switch.
