ideas for shortening chases without reworking maps

Whenever chase times are an issue its almost always caused by the deadly game of cat and mouse turning into a game of NASCAR as one person leads the killer around loops and everyone else does gens undisturbed. For those that want a better fix to this than exclusively picking nurse every game i'm throwing in two ideas of mine to make chases like this shorter in as easy of a way to implement as possible.

  1. Bloodlust Rework

Bloodlust currently doesn't do anyone any favors. If you're a survivor the killer getting a speed boost out of nowhere sucks and forces you to use a pallet to break it off. Killers in turn have to either break the pallet setting bloodlust and the chase back to square one or ignore the pallet and try to get a high enough bloodlust to race around larger loops. What if instead every time a killer breaks a pallet mid chase he would then get one bloodlust level on that survivor which would last until they land a hit on the same survivor instead of gaining it passively? This also prevents one guy from just using all the pallets and then if the game is still going and its your turn to get chased all the pallets in the map are mysteriously destroyed.

2 . "Snail trails"

How it works is that when a survivor leaves scratch marks if they retread that ground (i.e. loops) they will get hit with something like hindered while running on it. This would only punish people going in circles around the same loop over and over without harming those that don't. Only your marks would affect you so taking hits for people and running near other survivors wont slow everyone down. if the mild hindered isnt enough running over the tracks twice would increase the penalty along with resetting the scratch mark duration.

I feel these changes wouldn't be too crazy but by all means shred this apart if you feel otherwise. I especially hope if the devs do something similar they'd make this base game instead of perk based please lord.

In your 1st suggestion you're saying bloodlust sucks because it forces you to use a pallet. Yet in your next suggestion you're saying we add a slowing mechanic to.... basically make throw the pallet down faster.
