do banning happen?

where can i see people who get banned in DBD? I see many people breaking the rules of the game and not being banned such as disconnecting from the game to avoid defeat.

If people get permanently banned, they have a "game ban" on their steam profile. You won't see any temporary bans or anything like that.

We can't really discuss bans anyways, if that's what you're after with this question. For the sake of the question though, no you can't see who has been banned in the past or present.
As for DCing, that is a common issue that many people work around currently. Because of how the system works, you need to meet a threshold to be banned for DCing enough times. I can't really describe what they do exactly, but i'm sure you can figure that out yourself...
My point is though, eventually when dedicated servers come out, we'll have a more intricate system to punish people who work around this system.
