What Makes You Disconnect?
What are some of the reasons your game "mysteriously closes", "internet goes out for 30 seconds and then back for the next match", or any other excuse used for getting out of a match ASAP as killer & survivor.

Killer: I only DC'ed once, as pre rework Freddy. I had a bad match-up against purples and reds as Rank 11 who were very experienced in looping. I needed my Obsession for Remember Me who run me around for ages (yes I was an idiot back then committing to the chase). When I hit her, she insta healed and used her DS when I downed her, she got insta healed by a mate. This is when I DC'ed.
If I am defeated and see no longer chances it getting anything, I just face a wall and do something else. I do not want to give them what they want when playing killer.
Survivor: I do not DC often. Actually I DC only when it is lagging like absolute hell and it's not lagswitching (Random rubber bands which confuse the killer too. I would stay if it's a lag switcher so I can record it and get him banned.) and I am in no way to get hooked soon. Normally I would die on the hook in these cases. And I DC osometimes when constantly getting farmed and then tunneled with no reason at all (this was especially Pre DS changes).
OH... And there are my unintentional DC's I had last winter because the Internet of my student's hostel I live in was broken. I lost connection about every 30min.... up to 12 times a day. I'm lucky I did not get banned because of it.

I kind of have a very bad habit of DC'ing when I've had a bad day and a game goes terrible from the very start, especially when I get downed in the first minute. Usually, I get I'll be willing to deal with a few of these in a row, but after like 4 I just say FML and decide to take a break.
Yeah, I know it's not very good but it keeps me from getting harmfully angry π€·π»ββοΈ

I DC'd as the survivor before, and it was because of the killer's connection speed. Typically, I wouldn't go any higher than 150 PING, but this game was around 140 PING (according to the lobby). This was kinda iffy to me, but for the most part, 140 is within my acceptable range so I ready up. :)
Joined the game, and holy moly, the amount of lag is, to this today, indescribable because the game was unplayable. At first, I tried to make the best out of this game, and I ended up staying for a while actually.
To be clear, I don't endorse DC'ing, but there are times where you have to DC, and I ended doing it when there was a generator remaining. My team was going to win anyways, so I'm not going to waste my time trying to play a game that you can't play β especially when I was dead weight (if not, a hindrance) to my team. Right then and there, I DC'd.
Here's how bad it was:
Also, I'm not blaming the killer because there are many factors that can affect the killer's connection. For example, we could have great internet, but we could also live across the planet for what we know. :(

I recently DC'd because I was called out of the house and could not wait until the match was finished. I promptly apologized. Also had to close my game today because the whole thing froze up while a game was loading. That's about it.

I only disconnect if I have something more pressing to do at that moment and must leave the game or my Internet goes kaput. Otherwise, I have never disconnected from a match.

Unplayable lag such as teleporting into objects, outside of buildings, upstairs from downstairs. The two times I strongly suspected a lag switcher on pc, and Doc on Gideons. I played a few games with Doc there and it was miserable, lengthy and frustrating. I refuse to listen to Doc madness sounds for 30 minutes and snap out of madness every 20 seconds.

I have only ever disconnected once and that was against a killer I was teleporting all over the place for. It was so extreme I felt I had no choice but to dc. No matter how well or badly a game is going, apart from that one time and only if that happens again, I won't disconnect voluntarily as either survivor or killer.
