How often do you burnout?
I got the game about 6 months ago, and when i bought it, i enjoyed the gane for awhile, then i burned out on it really quickly. I just wanted to know if anyone else really has this sort of burnout, how long are those periods and how do you avoid it?

usually 5-6 games before im done for the day, The d/c on loading screen is a major contributing factor.

Moderation in all things.
Been playing since Dec 2016 with 2.2k hours. Only time I took an extended break was about a year ago when I played Warframe for three months.

I get burn out week on week off.
I play every day, not a excessive amount, come on, play a few games, get off, I try not to play too much cause I love the game and want to feel joy for it.

I've played the game since October 1st last year, which to some isn't anything... But I have about 1k+ hours into this game as well, and lemme tell you... I've been burned out quite a few times.
I took a break about 2 months ago, for 2 and a half months, and than came back again to take another 1 month break and here I am again. You get more burned out as you play more, because the objectives are the same, so nothing really gets mixed up... even when I play a new Killer every game I start as a Killer... it still isn't enough.
You'll notice this too over-time, and especially if you complete the game with all characters P3-50'ed. Because if you have all characters completed, there isn't anything else to really do... That's why the majority of legacy players don't play anymore sadly.
Its also based on like... how invested you're into the game as well. If you love the game, than you'll play more, if you're meh about it than not so much. These days, I play about 4-5 games, than i'm done for the day. Or if i'm feeling it i'll do more.

I usually play for a solid few months, with anywhere from 1 week to a few months break if I hit burnout.

I feel variety of the game is the problem almost. I play R6 every other day with friends, and almost every game has some sort of new dynamic. I know you cant really have an R6 system in DbD, but thats what i think is the problem: Variety in gameplay

I normally play consistently for about 2 or 3 months before going on a much needed hiatus. The longest ive stayed away from the game is probably 6 to 8 months but my shorter breaks only last about a month or two. It might be shorter sometimes but thats only because a game will be released which grabs my attention for X amount of time. But i always revisit this game afterwards. And it is always a much better expirience after ive taken a break.

Yeah honestly same here. I recently just took about possibly a 4-5 month from the game? I only recently came back for the Stranger Things DLC but I’ve been playing ever since.

Played 1/2 year and took a 3 months break so I could enjoy this game again.
And when the game gets too frustrated.

Its that, but its also the objective tbh. If Survivors has a secondary objective that the Killer could possible prevent in some way also, than we'd have something new to do.
Instead, its the same thing over and over and over every game, just with new Killers. The only really difference in a match when it boils down to it, is the Killer you're facing or playing as, that's really it.

June 2018
Everyday pretty much take a break for a couple days here and there and play something else so I don't get to burnout.

Burned out after 2000 hours, WAY too much Hillbilly.
I've also temporarily stopped three times so far (2 very short, 1 long one), but that was moreso from something too awful for me to keep playing.

I seem to burnout after a coupe of months playing the game. It usually ends up like this : Play non stop all day for months, then burnout and take a huge break (several months) and so on...

If i play for way too long in a week, next week i'll play less.
Oh and if i have frustrating matches i'll possibly just quit for the day/come back later.

It depends, if the new content isn't that interesting or unfun I get burnt out easier. Legion's release caused me to burn out really bad.
It usually takes a long time for the burn out. If I do I play another game like Minecraft for a week.

I own this game since February this year and i played 1300 hours so far.
This should answer your question ;-)

After about a month I get bored and then come back on the next big update. I love this game but the core gameplay of holding M1 for several minutes gets stale and I don't know how people can play for months and months straight at a time.

When I burnout, I usually go to the Paradise city where the grass is green and the girls are pretty...

I played for like a year , lost interset and didn't touch the game until a month ago.Now I play almost daily a few matches, with the dlcs that they are adding I don't think I'll abandon the game again.

I have periods where I stop here and there to play other games. I find that I get more irritated in matches if I play only Dead by Daylight more than two days, so I do appreciate the breaks for other things.

I get burned out pretty easily these days. I played it and had a lot of fun for a few months. During the Lunar New Year Event I started to experience burnout and I've never fully recovered from it. Sometimes I have fun in DbD, but a lot of times these days I'm forcing myself to play just so I don't completely abandon the game.
