Tips for playing Hillbilly
I would like to start playing billy more, are there any tips for a new hillbilly player?

I'm far from an expert, and I'm really just a newb killer. But my experience from the survivor side should help.
First, the chainsaw aiming is harder than it looks. It's actually the hardest part of playing Billy in my experience. I don't know how they aim around corners when they get me but not all of them can do it. So work on the chainsaw aim I guess?
Survivors when fighting you will try to confuse your chainsaw by running around obstacles. When this happens you have two choices: stick to your guns and keep trying to hit with the chainsaw, or use M1. In my opinion you should know when to use M1 and when to chainsaw. Unless you're a god level expert M1 is the better choice. So while starting out learn to use M1 instead of the chainsaw in these dubious spots.
That's all I have for you. I'm sure the expert Billy's can tell you more.

First of all try to learn when to use chainsaw and when to use M1. After you feel comfortable with that, you should learn basic chainsaw mechanics. Something like fladdering or chainsawing around loops or jungle gyms. For an example: At a T wall you can fake your chainsaw at one side and then run around the corner and chainsaw to the window, when you are lucky the survivor vaults in that moment into your chainsaw.
There are tons of guides in You Tube to watch, but overall what you can read here is enough I think.
