New Chapter: Asylum

Back Story: Dr. Theodore Thorton was a doctor for Croix Asylum. He specialized in transorbital labotomies. He took his work more serious than anyone else in his field. Through constant trials and numerous patients he had perfected his prefered method for "curing his patients" as he liked to say. He was so certain he could cure his patients violent tendencies that he asked for the three most violent, cruel, and most insane Croix had to offer. That night did not goes as planned. During Dr. Thorton's session with the three there was a riot at Croix. The riot had drawn all security away from the room. With no sercurity personel around one of the three patients, who had not been sedated as much as he had lead the good doctor to believe, got loose. Soon all three men were free and the Dr. Thorton was all alone with them. The men quickly barricaded the door as they knew once the security returned their fun would end. They began beating and torturing the doctor in all manners of ways. They used their hands, feet, broken glass, and some of the tools the doctor had in the room for the procedures he had planned. The men continued with their," FUN" as though they were in a contest to see who could inflict more pain upon the unfortunate doctor. As sercurity was returning from their roles in dealing with the riot they could hear the screams of Dr. Thorton. They rushed to his aid only to find that the door would not move. As they banged and pushed on the doors the three patients drew their attention to the door and began to laugh uncontrollably. The doctor had enough and as he lay bloodied and beaten on the floor he noticed one of his orbitolclasts on the floor just close enough to reach. as the three men laugh to their hearts content the doctor took one final breath, gathered all the strength he had left and took to his feet with his orbitoclast in hand. He drove the sharp surgical instrument into the man closest to him in the only spot he knew best. In one quick motion the man collapsed to the floor with a loud thud, and the room instantly became quiet. As the other two stared at the doctor he stared back. Neither knew what would come next. Dr. Thorton knew if it wasn't he who struck first then it would be his body that hit the floor next. The doctor let out a blood curdling scream as he took off towards the two all the whilst his orbitolclast flailing about. Security finally broke through the barricaded doors, but what they found left them horrified. They found the doctor atop one of the corpses. Battered, beaten, bruised, cut, and bloodied he just sat there as he laughed uncontrollably while he continued to stab the corpse that was once his patient. The good doctor had snapped due to his time with the three men. Dr. Thorton's mind was so broken he had now become a perminant resident of Croix Asylum. That is until one day they found his room empty said for the straitjacket he was bound in. No one knows how he escaped, not even Dr. Thorton himself. All he knows is the entity he given him his orbitolclast back.

Ability

Strait-Jacket – Pressing the ability button while standing over a downed survivor will place a straitjacket on the survivor. While wearing the jacket the survivor cannot be hooked, but cannot perform any actions requiring the use of their hands such as healing, cleansing, repairing, open doors, opening hatches, use of items, droppping pallets opening chests. After placing a survivor into a straitjacket you begin to have flash backs of your time as prisoner to some of your crazed patients. During this time you suffer from a psychotic episode flailing violently, grasping at your head and turning away from the restrained survivor, allowing them to get up and get away. Survivors must free themselves from their jacket before they can return to trying to escape. There are only two ways to escape from the straitjacket. The restrained survivor can find another survivor to remove the straps and locks given enough time or they can find one of three locations where the Lunatic’s sharp instruments are displayed. If they find the sharp instruments and interact with them then the survivor will turn around and begin cutting away at the straps. Survivors may still escape through open doors or through open escape hatches while wearing the straitjacket.

Orbitoclast - This long steel surgical intrument has never failed you before.


Perks

 Hysteria - The madness that is your insanity tends to linger after you have gone. When performing the Damage Generator action some of your hysteria is left behind. The next survivor interacting with that generator will be face with a tremendously difficult skill check. Failing the skill check will cause the generator to explode and causes that survivor to laugh uncontrollably. Failed skill checks result in 3%/6%/9% regression penalty. Survvivors laugh for 10/15/20 seconds which removes the sound notification of all skill checks during their period of hysteria.

Mistakes - You are constantly reminded of how much pain can be caused by a careless mistake. So much so that you make sure your victims don't forget it either. Any survivor who is healing themself or another survivor within your terror radius will suffer an immediate 4%/8%/12% regression penalty to any missed skill checks. The survivor being healed will begin to cry loudly once this mistake is made and continue to cry until healed.

Symptoms - You know so much about how the human mind works that you know just how to break it. Any survivor who is struck by your weapon will become depressed, antisocial, and all around detramentive to other survivors until healed. Survivors suffering from symptoms will have a 10% increase to skill checks with a 40%/50%/60% reduced success zone for all co-opertive actions.

Add-ons

Cotton Cloth/Duck Cloth/Canvas - Slightly/Moderatly/Tremendously increase the time it takes to remove straitjacket from self.

Velcro Straps/Leather Straps/Chains - Slightly/Moderatly/Tremendously increase time it takes for straitjacket to be removed by others.

Pad Lock - Straitjacket can no longer be removed by other survivors.

Mori - The mori animation would be that similar to the Nurse or Doctor. The Lunatic would sit on top of his victim, lean in real close, and slowly perform a transorbital labotomy with his orbitolclast.

Map - Any design of a run down asylum for the criminally insane. Would include holding cells, padded rooms, theropy offices, rooms where electrotheropy was performed, dark dingy halls, boiler room, courtyard, and a morgue. Basement would be either in the boiler room such as it is in the preschool or it could be in the morgue.
