why do solo games suck so hard

why are some survivors d*ckheads? and why don’t survivors care about their teammates???

let me tell you about my last game:

3 survivors, 1 gen left, two healthy teammates, me = injured. Claudette’s finishing the last gen by killer shack, watches me go down into the basement. I go down there to find a med kit, find one and I’m about to heal myself because I’m dead on hook, and the Claudette starts being chased, so she leads the killer right to me (her perk allows her to see injured survivors) so we can both be downed. why??? basically “if im going down, the rest of you can’t have a good game either.” i think that’s a lame way of thinking.. :(

I’m just venting though. I’ve had so many potato teammates today, depiping cause of the losses has made it worse. solo is so hit or miss. NONE of my teammates do any gens, unhook people, or really do anything? I’ve been doing 3-4 gens on my own, getting people off hooks while my teammates are crouched on the other side of the map (nowhere near the killer, just hiding). it’s like they try to wait until everyone is dead just to get the hatch. or they die in 2 minutes.

anyone else having bad solo games back to back? and if you’re the bad survivor, why don’t you get people off of hooks? or do gens? or contribute at all???

to be honest, I’m probably just bad since im the common denominator. lmao

DBD can be like that man. I think solo players have it the worst there’s just so many ways it can go wrong.

I’m a solo main too, you’re going to see lots of this but there are good survivors too. In the higher ranks people tend to be a lil more selfish though.

The real own playstyle comes with randoms. You can be selfish or super altruistic. It's a personal thing and, tough it can be frustrating, this is an intended thing in dbd (not swf)

A lot of people consider solo survivor to be the most miserable experience in the game (I certainly do).

This is mostly due to a high number of incompetent survivors in the player pool.

In my opinion, the biggest litmus test for a good teammate is how well they loop. If you're playing in red ranks, looping is pretty much a requirement to be successful. Unfortunately, it's very common to have one or two weak links who get easily downed, thus, allowing the killer to build up momentum.

Yes! I was a killer main until recently. so thats probably why potato teammates are so frustrating to me still lol

Nothing like getting so horribly abandoned by a fellow survivor that even the killer is like "#########" and takes pity on you.

Had that happen at least once during the event. Me and one other survivor are left. Exit gates are powered. I ran the killer around for a good bit, and I run back towards the gate, and I get there, and... it's untouched. I just came to a complete halt, looked around, looked at the killer. The killer looked at me, looked around. We just stood there for a moment, and then I walked over and started opening the gate and he just let me. It was both frustrating (the other remaining survivor came out of hiding with a bird over his head) and... well, you ever seen a visibly confused Demogorgon? It was pretty damn funny.

I had to give the exit to a few survivors during Blood Hunt because their teammates were either atrociously inept or horribly selfish. It was honestly an eye-opening experience.

There was one game in particular where a guy gets downed in the first minute, instant DC. Kept playing, managed to hook everyone, then another guy suicides on first hook. It was honestly depressing, I just didn't have it in me to keep chasing the other two.

So I just let them fix the generators, then I opened the gate for them. Doctor Butler, at your service.

Yup. Solo survivor is without a doubt the most challenging way to play this game. I have no stomach for it whatsoever and reserve a measure of compassion for those who do. While I don't like to be too nice of a killer, I'm not going to sit there and meme or farm with people, it's no fun killing people when there's no challenge.

On the bright side, backstabbing survivors are my favorite squishies to kill. Even moreso than well-coordinated SWF groups. Even better if I can let their victims know that I saw the nonsense they tried to pull and punished them specifically for it.

Two years of solo made me come to a personal belief that in the end of the match you matter and not your ‘teammates’.

now I’m not saying abandoning your team from the get go but when people are dying left and right you gotta start looking for that hatch

from my experience it's the game having terrible matchmaking or bad survivors ranking up to easy

I play solo on PS4 and I can tell you lord oh lord I either have very good games were team mates are doing things or games where legit nothing is getting done and everyone is in corners urbaning around the map, it makes it so painful but to make it worst when I join up with my friend we get even worst people so it just makes it unplayable for me and my friend I have to rely of him to do gems while I get chased or vias versa, god forbid one of us gets hooked game over 😂 all I ask for solo players just do 1 gen 1 gen that’s 4 done only one left but no people can’t even do that

Solo survivor is how you get good at the game because 9/10 times your team is ######### and an average killer you loop for a while will kill all of you. If you can't find the hatch of course.

when playing solo, I always like to imagine that i'm alone against the killer, so I have to run the killer and do 5 gens on my own. that way i can't get angry at my teammates if I pretend they don't exist.

Wouldnt survivors suck at being strong independant solo survivors if they kept playing regularily in a game mode that'd remove all those inconveniences the survivors are supposed to have by default?

Solo survivor is "hard" because SWF makes it easier, survivors get used to it, and the "normal" game balance becomes "hard" once all those advatanges of SWF or CWF are missing?

Its tough at times and you've just got to try use your best judgement in game. If you want to rank up always make sure you're doing what needs to be done to pip to hopefully get better teammates.

Sometimes you cant save everyone at the end game but i'll suicide save if its a good teammate on the hook. Someone thats ran the killer a while or done gens, made saves, just been an overall good useful teammate, i'll save them or die trying. If its a potato whos done nothing all game i leave them on the hook to reflect on how they played lol.

I never ever save Urban Evaders end game, got no love for them people whatsoever. Urban Evade yourselves off that hook, im leaving.

I knew a guy who bragged about getting hatch 33 times in a row and how his build is the best build in the game because killer will never see him. :/

spine chill, light weight, sprint burst and self-care.

This is the definition of a 90% of trash teammate I get when solo queuing. My teammates are always so immerse and scared.

I’ll run the killer for 95% of the game for either nobody to anything, but wait for hatch or everyone does the gens leave without me and left me to die.

My objective points are literally always at 0-280 points per game when soloing queuing, but my boldness is always max :/

Apparently “i’m Selfish” for wanting points other than boldness.

Self care is garbage it's such a waste of time I wouldn't even recommend ever using it solo in the time you were healing a gen could've been popped especially with all the slowdown builds killers run at red ranks
