Sure it can be destroyed, but that's part of the challenge for something as fun and potentially powerful as this

Devour, it only works about 50% of the time, but when it works it cleans house like a Dyson.

Devour Hope is a really fun perk and fits well for a fast and lethal playstyle. Pairs insanely well with Haunted Ground to make a really scary perk duo.

Be a swine. Go for Franklin's Trollmise.

Make your choice counters hyper-altruism pretty harshly.
Same can be said for devour but relies on totem not dying.
