A New Approach to D/C (Disconnecting) New Pre Lobby State Called "Worthy of the Entity".

Currently the community believes there is no better solution to players abusing disconnection to get around bad starts to a match or killers they dont want to fight, etc. I agree with this, for example if we implemented temporary bans for any dc's, we would get someone circumnavigating the rule by getting hooked and dying instead, just a minor inconvenience, and then people with internet problems are punished.


But what if instead of focusing on punishing the DC'er, we focused on ways to reward the loyal player.

That's what this post intends to do with a new pre lobby state called "Worthy of the Entity:" or Wote, for short.


Base rules are simple, in order for Wote to take affect, your previous lobbies ( shown in a pre lobby progress menu) must have 70% state of participation. this means if you have failed participation more then 3 times in the last 10 games you played, you will be disqualified.

To achieve a state of participation, you must reach the following criteria during a match.

  1. You must reach a certain amount of score. This is represented in a new background image behind all score pop ups that shows progress towards this completion.
  2. You must participate for a certain amount of time. This is represented in a new score pop up image that rewards 250 bp for every quarterly interval.

Apon completion of one of these criteria during a match, the first completed awards 1kbp, and the second completion awards 2kbp, and pops up with "Worth of the Entity" thus achieving a state of participation for that match. If a player should wish to dc or kill themselves at that point, they have already provided enough effort that the team should be able to continue onward.


Benefits of achieving "Worthy of the Entity" now active in pre game lobbies.

(SWF groups could potentially farm some features and are therefor disqualified for some )

  1. Garuntee that if someone not in your SWF group dc's before achieving participation, that you are given a safety pip for ranking, Given 100%bp per non SWF dc and all items and offerings are retained even after being used during the match.
  2. Exclusive perks from a selection only available to players that have proven WOTE
  3. (optional) Temporary 5th perk slot active for only a few minutes to start each match a player is WOTE
  4. Temporary cosmetics that prove a players likeliness to participate that also look amazing and are exclusive to WOTE


The entire purpose of this is to help address the serious issues that D/Cing causes by incentiveising players on both sides of the spectrum to continue the match.


I really hope someone from Behaviour interactive sees this and that others comment there suggestion and Ideas so that I may add it here for them aswell.
