Nurse Basekit needs to be left alone.
Nurse's basekit changes. Hoo boy.
According to the wiki, with a two blinks, Nurse suffers from a fatigue time of 2.5 seconds. With these new changes of a 6 second cooldown, Nurse if forced to sit through a whopping 3.5 seconds of 96.25% movement speed. It may not seem like much, but that is 2.5 seconds of Nurse moving at 24% movement speed, THEN followed by 3.5 seconds of Nurse moving at 96.25%. She is forced to watch survivors rocket away for 6 WHOLE SECONDS, made even worse if she manages to hit them. Devs either need to scrap the cooldown, or at the very least reduce it to 4 seconds. They have most likely completely gutted her, giving survivors 6 seconds of absolutely no pressure at all, and with time being so strict on killers in DBD, we might be seeing the total downfall of the strongest killer in the game. Oh well, at least Legion will have a friend.
Edit: Forgot about how she gets 1 Blink after 3 seconds. Even this won't save her. Ever played Heavy Smoker Nurse? Because that is basically what you're playing if you choose to not wait for the 6 second recharge.

Yes people don't seem to realize with two blinks if the survs keep running she will never catch up unless they make a big mistake lmfao

People who don't play her won't understand just how valuable being able to follow up blinks immediately are. They just get smashed by some Nurse, refuse to learn how to utilize her counterplay, then call for nerfs.

Yes, I mean, these changes are quite frankly ridiculous. We might have another case of Legion on our hands. They gut her, leave her for dead, and visit her months later to fix some bugs, rework an addon or two, or give her a cosmetic. BTW new Legion cosmetics when?

Unfortunately tis the case for killers. Now I'm not saying that killers don't refuse to learn counterplay too. Like people asking for a Dead Hard nerf. But the problem is you can just drop that perk for something like Balanced Landing. You cannot just drop an entire killer because of some unnecessary nerf. Might be the case for Billy or Spirit soon.

She's barely slower than survivors though during the last 3.5 seconds. It just gives survivor the opportunity to break LOS, the only counterplay they have against Nurse.
I could see them decreasing the cooldown of a blink to 2.5 seconds, I think that would be fine as well. Anything beyond that though I don't think would be good. Survivors having a bit more counterplay against Nurse is a great thing.

This isn’t counterplay, this is “Nurse is now a potato.”

Yeah no that is not true. LoS is part of juking a Nurse that is correct but it is also About mindgaming her into bad blinks.
Teamwork is where it is at against a Nurse and individual skill. I know the Horror for most survivors today.

This isn't proper counterplay. They can LITERALLY RUN IN A STRAIGHT LINE!

The counterplay doesn't change with these changes though. You still have to break LOS and not run in a straight line(unless that ends up being faster than she can blink to you after the changes, this is a high possibility) all these changes did was make the ability to break LOs so easy that by the time she is ready to blink to you you won't even be in the same jungle gym.

As others have said, counterplay isn't just completely removing the thing survivors had trouble against, counterplay would be something like removing scratch marks for the fatigue period, which while still a bit much, a good Nurse could still play and work around the counterplay. This is just completely removing any chance for Nurse to win a chase.

Yeah well I have to disagree there. I don't think that 3.5 seconds of cooldown removes the one thing survivors had trouble with at all. All they can do is break LOS for a bit longer than they used to. So it gives them a bit more counterplay. She still has both blinks that go through walls, which is still ridiculously strong in a chase.

depends on the map which I say is 50/50

"Slight changes" my ass
If 3 seconds off of trap setting time was enough to make Hag high tier from garbage
This change is more than enough to dumpster Nurse from high tier.
Time to learn and play against Spirit every single high rank game. Thanks BHVR. Thank you for destroying one of the most skill intensive characters in the game when all you had to do was change addons, I appreciate it.

Why ruin base nurse??? This ruins Nurse for me, I play her without the add-ons and I get that the add-ons can be overpowered but base nurse is not overpowered at all and they're completely ruining something that worked fine.

You do know... The Nurse was released over 3 years ago...
It is about dam time she got some updates.

Updates and an addon rework, not completely trashing her base power.

Good thing that this is for the PTB then.
It's not like these changes are set in stone.
If it turns out to be trash, they may re-think their entire approach.

Nurse base is not fine and it 100% needed a nerf. No way to logically argue against it

True, we'll just have to see how she plays out. Here's to hoping she turns out alright in the end.

That's really not the same. Nurse can still follow the survivors, she barely moves slower than survivors. And once she gets both blinks back, she has a reasonable chance to get to the survivor and down them.
If it does become too much, they can reduce the recharge time from 3 seconds to 2.5 seconds.

You can definitely argue that, although I feel that the most problematic part of her kit was her addons such as 5 blinks and Omegablink. I feel like they overstepped "slight change", depending on how it plays out, it could be a huge gamechanger, at worst completely ruining Nurse, but at least we get to test it during the PTB so hopefully the devs listen if there is enough outcry.

And? If they do that you can easily catch up to them once you have your two blinks back. Where's the problem there?

Her kit alone is problematic. Look back at the dead by daylight tournament they had a while ago. No addons or perks for both surivors and killers. It was impossible for any team to win if they didn't play nurse and this was purely base power nurse. Virtually every game was resulting in nurse slaughtering everyone and people weren't even finishing more than one or 2 gens. This was also on a map that all the players agreed was an 'even' matchup for both killer/survivor. These were also a lot of the better players who play the game. If some of the best survivors in the game couldn't outplay base nurse/get wins vs base nurse, it's hard to argue that base nurse's power is fair or balanced.
