Tomes, rifts, blights and grinding (totally selfish question)
OK, totally selfish question here.
I'm off on holiday a few days into the event this year (Halloween Horror Nights y'all!) and won't be back until after its completion.
I've not got the PTB and am being overwhelmed with the info out there about Tomes, rifts, petals, vials etc, but understand that they are all connected now...
Just to be clear, what will I lose access to at the end of the event? Is it just the ability to earn the cosmetics for free? If so, is it clear what we have to do to grind out a set? I'm sure it'll be clear over the coming weeks, but i've got some holiday due at work and will probably put in a request to max out the grind in those few days!

the event serums are linked to the rifts progression , but even after the event they have stated that the rift progression will continue you just loose the ability to earn free skins from the event .
The rift and archive are not actualy event specific and will outlast the event . So you will have time to continue on with those after the event is over . Also the event skins will be able to be found in the store .

So, as far as the Petals go, I read that they are only worth additional blood-points? We do not need to hook/do gens to gain the serum this time?
From what info is out, do we have an idea what we need to do to get serum?

To get the serum you just play/progress in the archives to progress in the free track of the rift.

Also, reading further, will the Lore items remain available after the event?

Most of the info is here. Only the Halloween stuff goes if you get 2 or 3 per tier you'll have to do 20 or so levels of the 70 level pass

Yeah, that's what I saw. The last bit about the stories threw me totally.
There's no clear indication of what you would need to do in the rift to get the Serum that I could see; I wasn't sure if there was any more info in the PTB.

The Rift closes 70 days after it starts.
The Tome in the Archives stays forever. You can complete it at any time.
The Halloween currency (Putrid Serum) goes away once the Halloween event ends.
You'll get it just by completing the challenges in the Tome and leveling up the Rift. All of the Serum is in the free track. (It's not in the PTB, it'll only be added during the event period.)

OK so Lore wise, all good.
I guess that what's required will all become clear when the Mid-chapter goes live!?
2 days to grind out 6lots of cosmetics... wish me luck!

but you also get serums from completing special gens and hooking on special hooks as an addition right ?
