Fix Chaser For Instant Downs

Specifically instant downs and Trapper's Trap. The former only count as one hit for Malicious and Chaser, the latter doesn't count at all.

It is impossible to balance around both without counting instant downs as two chases worth of hits for Malicious and Chaser. It's like the difference of Power A allowing you to hit twice in rapid succession and Power B instant downs, then rewarding Bower A twice as much as Power B even though they're both two means to the exact same end.

    If anything its the opposite.

    I'm able to get Iridescent in chaser when playing killers like Freddy but when I play the meta killers I struggle to the Iridescent at all.

    Besides its not that difficult to have 22 chases in a match. You can achieve 6 chases (7 if they Decisive) from just one survivor alone (one for each hit and hook stage). That's 24 total, not including perks.

    Besides if you're struggling so much against one survivor it might not be wise to continue chasing them. You have 4 to manage after all.

    Considering it counts bodyblocking and such, it's actually decently affordable. Maybe the highest ranks threshold should be slightly downgraded, but concretely, I oftenly have gold as Chaser

    I never have issues on Hillbilly or Nurse, and I suspect I wouldn't on Huntress if I weren't terrible and inexperienced at playing her.

    I have complaints with Leatherface, Michael and Trapper. I have an ocean of games screenshotted where I have Iridescent in every single emblem but a Silver in Chaser. In any event, these anecdotes are statistically irrelevant, just my experience thus far to contrast with yours.

    Still feels pretty bad my power doesn't reduce chase times like other killers' powers yet I still only get 1 hit into Chaser and 1 hit into Malicious for using my chainsaw.

    There's literally not enough time to get as many Chaser hits as the game wants me to without just not using my power, which defeats the point.

    The way the Emblem system is currently balanced is around scoring 2 hits per down, and that directly punishes killers who use instant downs.

    Is it intentional that 2 kills de-pips 90% of the time or an oversight? This suggests to me that killers are expected to get 3 kills per game on average.

    The Emblem system nerfed killers that weren't even viable to begin with.

    Sure did relieve the stress of playing killer to know I need a 3k to safety.

    You probably do something wrong.

    The proverbial "git gud" argument. The only thing I'm doing wrong is playing Leatherface. I've pipped on 1k and 2k very frequently as Pig, Wraith and Hillbilly, that's kind of my point. I get to halve my Chaser and Malicious points when using my power as LF.

    Had several 1k safeties and 2k pips recently as Pig and Wraith, it's certainly no coincidence that I'm only depipping regularly on 2k and safetying on 3k as Leatherface.

    3k no pip because everyone let go when hooked and the last person escape via hatch so I get horrible chaser and silver malicious.

    Seems fair to me that a killer already weaker than the top 3 also gets less emblem points for accomplishing the exact same thing.

    Several more 3k safeties because of silver chaser and a bronze Gatekeeper, neither of which I have any control over whatsoever.

    Feels great devs, I'm sure these level 13s are glad I'll be at their ranks even longer.
