The only thing in a game that I might find relaxing is like picking fruit and decorating my house in Animal Crossing. But dude, when I'm fishing in Animal Crossing, I'm constantly yelling swear words.

    Fishing. In Animal Crossing.

It's a good thing those poor animals can't hear me.

It depends on my mood. I get that some players can be jerks but man...I just dont care anymore lol if I wanna have fun im gonna have fun damn it! But in all seriousness I used to be not relaxed playing this game, and that has changed over time.

As much as I love this game and (for the most part) the community, there's times were I want to put my head through a wall.

Um.. No. Honestly it gives me major anxiety. But im a masochist and seem to need several daily doses throughtout my days.

If life aint giving me the dreadful feeling of anxiety i can always count on Dead By Daylight to do so. Most of the time i dont even have to actually be playing it to get my fix. An instant full lobby when im trying to play killer for funsies gets the ball tolling sometimes. Other times I could care less about the lobby being instantly filled, I just dont know what killer i want to play. Trying to remember which of the 3 claudettes ive hooked and if that one that ran past me was the one i just saw.

I still love this game. But holy cow is it bad for my health lol

I'm playing DbD for the frustration lol.

(time stamp 9:54 if the forum parser messes it up)

In all seriousness though, I rarely have relaxing games. If I do, I am just having a good day. Some days are bad. Most are in the middle.

Maybe playing Survivor because I play my role with almost no stress involved, but since I prefer Killers for their unique role...no...not calm,or relaxed most of the time

at rank 1 no play killer as anything other than spirit and pre nerfed nurse and on average your feel stress like a high paid job pressure.

Not at all. I'm usually the opposite of calm when I play. 😂

If I'm playing Santa Claus build the game is surprisingly relaxing. I just go around hunting chests and get a thrill opening them to see what loot I get inside. It's like having an unlimited supply of free lootboxes to open.

You should try it. It's very therapeutic.

For some reason when I play Huntress I feel relaxed... maybe it’s her lullaby? maybe it’s her aiming? Dunno.

No. I'm in a constant state of stress.

Add frustration if i'm playing Hag, Trapper, Nurse or Huntress.

    Stress & Frustration.

I enjoy the game a lot though despite this. I enjoy the challenge and random BS DbD throws at you.

The only online game i feel relaxed and calm playing is Red Dead Redemption 2 because i can hop on and go hunt/fish.

Depends, sometimes if something funny or really dumb happens and makes me laugh, it really can be kinda relaxing. Mostly depends on how the other people play and how desperate the killer want his 4k.

If it is a not so serious game, it can be really funny and relaxing. But it's rare, sadly.

As a killer? Hell no. Too much of a time crunch.

I just play Dead by Daylight to get a little challange and dominate ppl. I always loved that in world of warcraft pvp too before the killed the game with battle for azeroth.

It depends on how the other players are playing/behaving. Most of the time no, but then there are other times where I can just laugh my ass off.

Just had a pretty relaxing Michael game where I was dominating everyone to the point where when I had two people left, I let them do 3 gens so the exit gates were powered, Rancored my obsession, and let the other one leave. Probably one of my most chill games, so chill that I had to actually do nothing for quite a while.

I assume your Santa Claus build is Plunderer's, Ace in the Hole, and Pharmacy?

If I want to relax I'll play spirit. If I feel like being a masochist I play pig, legion or bubba

    Mochan Member Posts: 2,886

    Hell no!

Can't have Pharmacy, that locks in your first lootbox as a stinking medkit.

The Santa Claus build is Ace, Plunder and Bond. Because you need to find naughty little kids around the map to deliver your goodies to.

    Hah, no.

I usually get excited as Killer or the good kind of tense as Survivor.

Weirdly, it’s a game I don’t feel like slitting my wrists over- unlike something like battlefield/front.

Makes me feel anxious though, as a killer. As if I need to put on a grand performance in front of a crowd. Xx

Playing killer made me realize I have an early onset of IBS. Now I eat healthier and get ahead of my diseases to play a couple of rounds of killer daily.

Also I'm a masochist so survivor is much more comforting.

Only thing that relaxes me in this game is spending bloodpoints, trying to find a good outfit, and looking for lobbies.

  • twistedmonkey
    twistedmonkey Member Posts: 4,296

    Nope never 😝

I always have a sense of excitement and nervousness at the start of a match on either side.

Survivor at least I can have some down time when others are in a chsse. The sound of someone being hit relaxes me for a while. The most tense times are sort of gone as I liked it before all the hud add-ons and not knowing who the killer was until one as them or heard the power. I wish this was still the case for all the stealth killers.

Killers is more tense for me as I instantly start to plan out my attacks and when making my way to a gen what is around it with the best way to chase the survivor and herd them in the direction I want them to go as to cut down how many loops they may get before I strike them down muhaha.

it really depends on how the games go. sometimes i'm relaxed and having a really chill moment, other times, i'm conflicted because of over-the-top survivors and killers. :P

Frankly, I am never relaxed or calm, but Dead by Daylight keeps me on edge while I’m playing. It’s not often in a bad way, but there are definitely some days where I’m not feeling it and I try to play or do something else.

    Mochan Member Posts: 2,886

I mean medkits aren't bad, but you are removing 1 big chance out of your 3 draws to get other items. You'll likely get a medkit anyway, wouldn't it be a shame to ensure your 1 draw is always a green medkit, when you can have 3 draws that can be anything!

And it's always scintillating to draw a purple or pink key, or a pink map. Why limit yourself to a green medkit when you can get a Ranger Medkit?

The thrill is in the joy of getting something random and awesome. If you are always locked to a green medkit, that takes a big chunk out of the thrill.

    I guess, but it's only for the first one, and I like the faster/quieter searching. Getting a med kit for myself is always useful, and I never use keys because games for me either end up all four dying or all four surviving and I never find the hatch. There was ONE time where I could have used a key, and I had the build for better items, found a broken key. -.- That said, I won't be using Pharmacy anymore once those medkit changes go through. >_>;

not at all. I can't bear the noob teammates when I play in mankind, and get scared to s-h-i-t when I meet the spirit on face. Sometime I feel more nervous than the 4 squad when I play as killer, becuz they do the gen rush.

With how long it takes to find a match in red ranks PS4, hearing the survivor guitar song is indeed relaxing.

Overall, "funny". I'd say. If I am doing steam achieve's or just messing around, I guess I'd say calm.

I mean. I guess some games are pretty "chill" I'd say, like you kind of just go about it and its just, it is what it is, ya know? It's more so funny. There's always something different that happens and silly stuff that goes on, some of which may be considered "toxic", but I don't know I think its funny. Like we are all just having fun/playing around. I don't think laughing is "calm", but still positive more than a negative. I think the most non calming is the end game chat, when people are upset. It sucks when you had a fun time and someones upset about something. But anyways, I usually am laughing and that is nice. OMG and some people that joke around in end game chat too.... so hilarious.... haha. ( was playing clown not to long ago, for daily, and they were talking about the bottles like sort of like RPing in character, man it was funny.)

It's better if you don't take things so seriously.

Finding a lobby, is usually the most frustrating part. o.o

Sometimes i find being the killer relaxing, but due to a lack of time and rank reset i'm constantly in the yellow rank
