Fastest way to level a survivor....
Play a killer....
Holy hell! Thought I might give survivors a chance after a year of playing killer...as a baby survivor (Meg), I don't last long trying to loop thing. I have one perk, Quick and Quiet.
I escape, unhook other survivors, heal other survivors, destroy totems, use the hatch, repair multiple gens per round (with and without other survivors)....total, around 15K (top score so far)!
This is NOT a complaint, I'm not asking for changes. I'm simply sharing my thoughts for anyone having trouble leveling a survivor. Earn those BPs on a killer, spend them on a survivor.

BBQ Chilli + Distressing + Doctor/Leatherface/Nurse/Huntress = 40-70k per match.

If you are trying to gain BP as Survivor, you're gonna need to work for it more than on Killer.
You can use We're Gonna Live Forever and get hooks saves for the Survivor counterpart of BBQ. Do dull totems, sabo hooks, do gens with teammates etc. You need to be extremely proactive.
Even without doing measley things like dull totems, I usually make around 15k to 18k for most of my Survivor matches (I do not use WGLF). It's just how it is. Like @Cypraz said, if you're REALLY trying to level them, just play Killer.
Keep in mind you can bang out more survivor matches than Killer matches if you die midway through/don't camp the hatch to be the last guy. As Killer you always gotta wait for the last guy, unless you just wreck their faces in which case you still won't get as much as a longer match.

play david and max "we're gonna live forever" perk & try to take risks unhooking & taking a hit after unhook & healing until you get 4 stacks and then do all other actions for other emblems.. beware if you're in low ranks killers tend to camp alot so if you're hooked you better have "kindred 3" or no one will save you since low ranks survivors (new survivors) they hesitate alot or will think you're camped when you're not

I can back this up, definitely from 20-15 ranked killers are probably gonna face camp or patrol the very first hook. They are clueless and usually have already lost the game by the time they finally get a hook.
