Just a simple question, how do you like the game?

It's got some extreme balance issues when you get to high ranks but otherwise it's a very fun game. You won't notice the issues at lower ranks.

    Things I like.

    +Cosmetics

    +Events

    +Licensed Chapters

    +Original Chapters

    +Music (especially the seasonal ones)

    +Lore

+The Rift and Archive that are coming

    +The Devs and Community Managers/Mods

+The Tile Changing Maps (like Badham)

    Things I don't like.

-How little the survivor's charms are

-The End Game Collapse (I miss goofing off)

-The tedious nature of the Bloodweb and how many hours it takes to progress in it

I like this game for the most part, though I do have to take regular breaks from it.

I feel like it has some serious identity issues. It's part survival horror (low rank play), part high speed twitch PvP (high rank play), part old school RPG (progression systems). I don't feel like any of those parts actually get along with any of the other parts.

If this is supposed to be a fast-paced, skill-based game, then the whole notion of gatekeeping through long grinds is out of place. If this is supposed to be a survival horror, constant high speed chases and killer-bullying should not be a thing.

When I read forums or guides, it's common to see experienced survivors laughing at "immersed" newbie survivors for being too scared of the killer, always sneaking and hiding, etc. That makes me sad, because I feel like the game's competitive aspect often overwhelms its survival horror aspect.

But I still like it and I still play it on a semi-regular basis, and I will probably continue to do so for the foreseeable future. It's not perfect, but it is unique.

This is probably the best description I've ever heard for Dead by Daylight.

It really is trying to be 2 completely different games at once. It's either a multiplayer survival horror or a skill based asymmetrical game... both clash with each other. And the players get at each other's throats often because they view the game differently. Immersed players annoy try hards and try hards annoy immersed players...

it's fun but based on the constant lag outs because of bugs I'm really starting to move away from the game
