New layers, big grind- Give them a little boost.
I was responding to a post about perks, new players, and the grind, and it brought me back to an idea I had about bonuses for them. Consider this- Add a percentage based on a perk's tier level for everyone in grey ranks.
- T1 - 10%
- T2 - 5%
- T3 - 0
So, let's say someone is playing Claudette and they have Self Heal II, Empathy I, Premonition I, and an unfilled 4th slot-- that would be a 25% bloodpoint bonus added to what they would normally earn.
Self Heal I, Empathy I, Botany Knowledge I, Kindred I at rank 19 would give a 40% bonus. If they earned 16,000, the bonus would make the new total 22,400. It's not much so depending on how BHVR internal numbers look, they can adjust the bonus to whatever they want. Too little? 15/7/0. Too much? 7/3/0. Want to be generous? Extend or lessen it through yellow ranks.
I think this little bit could do a lot in helping with the overall new player experience.
