Quick New Killer Idea: The DroneMaster
This is a quick concept idea. I have not thought about perks or anything else yet.
The DroneMaster: a steampunk-styled killer with remote control drones.
His special power is that upon downing a survivor, he can attach a floating, spherical drone to their foot. The drone flies at eye-level and drags the survivor to a nearby hook while the killer continues to hunt. Base 3-minute cooldown between drone uses.
The drone has a single camera lense on the front, and is therefore susceptible to flashlight blinds. The survivor can still struggle out of the tether as well. The base drone movement speed is 75% that of the killer (may need to be edited up.)
sound like fun? or bad idea?

It sounds like it could be an interesting killer if it were a bit more fleshed out. He should probably have an additional power to either help in chases or apply map pressure. I have my doubts that steampunk would fit in with the game's aesthetic though.

Yeah, you’re prolly right about the aesthetic. That can be changed. Maybe he’s dressed as a Fighter pilot instead.
The main thing behind this killer was to give him a different power category. The way I see it currently, killer powers make it easier to chase (traps), hit (clown), or down (chainsaw). Nothing help with hooking though. So that was the inspiration.
I would like to give him another ability too, but it should be relatively weak. Giving him the extra hunting time and freedom from carrying survivors is very powerful. He can chase down others who are trying to blind his drone, or go off elsewhere to kick gens, or start in the direction of where he expects to see BBQ auras once the hooking is complete.
I think a secondary power should also involve drones. Perhaps surveillance drones which feed him black and white, top down photos of survivors (popping in at the top right of the screen). He won’t know where the photos are from, but can pick out environmental details that he recognizes when he gets to the area (like certain jungle gym shapes, tractors, killer shack, certain junkyard car stacks, etc.). This would need to be worked out for indoor maps somehow though.
